For less than $10 a pair, it is worth the price. The oven mitts are made in India, good quality and length with extra thickness. It comes in red, love it!
Overall this is a great oven mitt. It does it's job in protecting your hand from heat when using hot pots and pans in the oven or on the stove. The oven mitt is long enough on the arm where it protects you when you are stirring the pot. The nice dark red shade goes well with my kitchen décor. The inside feels a bit rough and the outside is a bit hard to fold and maneuver so it will take some time to work the oven mitt in.
Really nicely made, has a terry liner. Good size protects most of my arm, only about 5 inches away from my elbow. Well padded so heat won't come through. I really like the pastel color, it is not so bright that it clashes with my kitchen. Label says machine washable in cold water. I haven't tried to wash it yet, but nice to know that it can be.
I have problems with burning myself nearly every time I get something out of the oven. I was using pot holders. Well I decided after yet another minor burn that I needed a glove style oven mitt to save my poor hands and wrists. This fits the bill nicely. I like the interior of it as it's comfortable and pliable for use. It protects my hands and wrists from the burning hot oven. It's not fancy or spectacular but it does as it is intended and matches my kitchen decor nicely. I've not had the occasion to wash it yet so I don't know how it holds up to that but I have a feeling with how sturdy it feels that it should be fine with washing and will last a long time.
I love this oven mitt. It is a beautiful shade of gray. It has a very soft interior that feels so nice on your hands. That was an unexpected surprise. The outside is very soft as well and fits my hand perfectly. Some oven mitts can be ill fitting. Not this one. It fits each finger perfectly. It extends far enough that I don't have to worry about my wrists or lower arms getting burned. The gray color goes perfectly with many decors as it's a nice neutral. I really like this oven mitt. It works perfectly and most importantly, it works well. And I love the amount of cushion it has. Looks good and works well!
It performs well with full size pans. The thickness can make it a little hard to get a good grip on smaller items. I cook in a full size oven, but also a smaller toaster/convection oven. I don't know if I trust the grip when I removed items from the convection. I used it in the full size oven when I have it around 450 degrees roasting vegetables & there was no problem handling the pans or even the racks.
I used this oven mitt to take out a cast iron pan that I was seasoning at 400 degrees F. What I find great about this mitt is that it's thick enough to hand pans from the oven at high temperatures. However, what I didn't find so great about this mitt is that it's made for big hands. My hands are small and I had to grab a lot of material just to get a handle on it. I do plan to use it again in the future, but it will not be my "go-to". Also, it is a little too stiff than how I prefer my oven mitts to be; it doesn't have a lot of flexibility. This mitt is very affordable. I rate the quality of it very high; it is well-made and durable. It is stitched at the seams and looks very unlikely that it would unravel. This mitt is definitely made to last you a long time. The design of this oven mitt is stylish. I love the color it is, and I also love how long it is. It gives you extra protection on your arm from getting burned. The ease of use for me was a little challenging because I have small hands. It is more suitable for bigger hands. The only concern I had with it is it slipping off my hand because of its size. I would recommend this mitt to others, but I do not plan on purchasing one to have as a backup.
I really like the color of this mitt. It goes well with my kitchen decor, and looks well-made. Unfortunately, it's uncomfortably stiff, to the point where I didn't feel like my grip was secure when pulling a hot pan from the oven. Also, the opening is far too narrow. I'm not the thinnest person, but my arms aren't unreasonably large, and I had difficulty putting this on. I'm used to having a bit of room at the wrist/forearm, but as you can see in the pic, that isn't the case here. Anyone with forearms larger than mine won't be able to wear this securely enough to use it. On the bright side, it is nice to look at, even if I don't find it the most functional. It will at least make for nice decor, but I wouldn't recommend it for use.
Very disappointing. The oven mitt was oversized. I have a large hand and my hand was very loose; not secure. My hand didn't not feel protected from a plate I heated food in an oven. I needed to double it to protect my hands from burning. I would not recommend this product. Buy an “Ov-glove”. One positive of the product is that the glove is long.
I'm a 5'7" tall woman, to give you perspective. This glove doesn't fit me in the slightest, nor do I think it would fit any other human on Earth. In the picture, you'll see I clipped the glove. That's around my hand. As you can see, there's a ton of room at the fingertips. Because of this, it's impossible to grab cookie sheets or anything rather from the oven and feel 100% comfortable knowing you won't burn yourself and/or drop your cookie sheets. Terrible sizing. Buy something else.
