I had been pricing out floor lamps as our living room needed more light in the evening; I had been pricing out at different locations and the best price I could find was $22. I picked this up this lamp on clearance for $5 and it not only met my expectations, but exceeded it. I put in a 60 watt bulb (purchased separately) and it brightens up the room more than the 2 table lamps and 1 overhead lamp, so it will save money in the long run. It is also sleek, utilitarian and unobtrusive. While not by any means a focal point in the room, it brings to light other focal points.
$13 plus tax shipped free to your local Walmart. This lamp stands about 5 feet tall and has a decent amount of weight in the base. I can't understand how they can sell this for $13 with a bulb included no less and make a profit. Bottom line; this is an incredible deal. The assembly was simple and the lamp works the way it's supposed to. I love the fact that it comes with a CFL bulb so you can use it as soon as you assemble it. This lamp is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for lighting that looks clean and simple, works great, and is on a budget.
Lamp is a perfect basic lamp for a really good price. I bought two for my living room, which has no built in overhead lighting. They are decently bright and very easy to put together and use. If you are looking for more features than just twisting a knob for the light to go on and off, you might want to choose a different light (but don't expect to get this price!) The only thing i didn't like about it was the design of the shade, but I got over that quickly after I saw how bright they were. Very good purchase!

Best value purchase and affordable, the lamp was simple to put together and arrived with one of the popular energy saving bulbs. It lights up the entire room, not just a corner like I expected, and the lamp is an attractive addition to the living rom.
Lamps are made of a plastic product. They are easy to put together except on one of the lamps the threads didn't match well. Used some tape (like you would a pipe) and screwed it together. It has been holding just fine. The lights are very bright. I bought two matching lamps for my living room and they product all the light I could want. It was really nice having the bulbs included with the lamp. For an inexpensive and good looking lamp, this is a very good deal.

Kind of cheap looking, metal pole screws together & the shade is plastic. But hey, you get what you pay for.
This lamp is a waste of money! Not only did it not include the bulb that was promised in the item desciption, but it was wobbly and chincy. We put one of the two lamps we purchased together and quickly decided to return them both when the lamp wobbled and tilted to the side. There was no way to securely fasten the lamp pole to the base. It just sort of fit in there and it wasn't secure. If you touch the lamp, it sways and doesn't stand up straight. A huge waste of money, and I now have to burn the gas to return the items to the store.
For $13 I had to give it a shot, but the assembley on top of the lamp is defective on mine. The inner ring that is supposed to hold the shade in place by fitting through the bottom of the shade and screwing onto the base, doesn't fit throught the hole in the bottom of the shade. I am able to put the shade on by using the inner ring upside down, but am left with crooked lampshade. It's either that or leave out the inner ring and not secure the shade at all. Other than this, it works and was easy to assemble, but is notably flimsy.
