I read a lot of reviews about this throw being too small, I have a big couch and it is almost too big so when I tuck it in I only have to do it once a week even with my kitties and dogs jumping on and off of it. I think for the price it is a wonderful product, soft, large, fits great, right size. I saw on Walmart that they have a throw made of the same fabric, am really thinkgin about buying it next!
This is the second of these furniture throws I have bought to protect my couches from damage from kitty and doggie claws. It appears to be well made and fits my sofa well. I have another layer over it for double protection, and it keeps the top layer from slipping so much.
After searching for hours on different websites and finding out I couldn't find a couch cover for under $80 I decided to go to Walmart's site--The feel of this cover is so nice and velvety--so cozy--my daughter loves it--only complaint I have is that the back of it slips off if we lie down on the couch--I will just have to try to lift it some off of the bottom but a little of the couch will show-not a big deal--but it's definitely wide enough for this big couch we have--they could have made this a little bit longer--it's plenty wide--so the back would not slip off as much--but I read another review on this and one person bought some kind of two sided velcro that did the trick--I will look into that as I could not afford a more expensive cover at this time--and the color matched my decor--got it to cover the water marks on a microfiber couch we have--it does the job--
I just bought a new sofa and we have 2 dogs that like to climb on our furniture. I want to keep it clean so I was looking for a slip cover or blanket that can be easily removed and durable for many washes. I read the reviews for this product and seen that the majority of the people liked it but said that it could have been a little bigger so that it would cover the entire back of the sofa. Since my sofa is against a wall I wasn't too worried about it not covering the entire back. But when I placed it on my sofa, not only was it not long enough to cover the back, but it was not even long enough to cover the entire front, as you can see in the photo I attached. I read that someone suggested buying two or even sewing two of them together to make one large one. I think that would make it WAY to big but I just may do that because I'd rather have it too big than not big enough. Here are the dimensions of my couch: 93"W x 39"D x 38"H. But overall, I am please with the cover. The color (warm chocolate) is just like the ad shows and it is a very soft fleece feel. It is thinner than I expected but that is fine because I'm not using it for warmth. it is a couch cover.
I love the color and the soft material. It is plenty long enough for my couch, but not wide enough. It barely goes over the back. I will have to pin it so that it doesn't fall down when someone sits on it. It needs to be at least 30 inches wider.
Soft. DON'T WASH THIS WITH ANYTHING ELSE....SHEDS, PILLS in Washington, seems fine on sofa. I need 2, was not long enough to cover large overstuffed sofa, but nice and wide.
This is a very comfortable "throw" with great texture.. Once installed on the sofa, It was adequately long enough to cover the entire length. However, the width forces a compromise, where you must choose between putting it so far over the back that the bottom of the couch is exposed OR, covering the front and having it constantly slipping down when ever anyone sits on it.. My solution was to put a SECOND throw to cover the cushion, and another, to cover the back which could be exposed in certain room applications.. My advise ? Buy two ...LOL
This covered the length of my couch, which is small, about 79" long, but didn't cover the back at all, only about 2", The couch is up against a wall so I could live with it, but it is worthless if your couch is not against the wall, the material is soft, yet when my cat stretches out she makes pulls in the material quite easily, I do not see this standing the test of time, but the couch is not used often at all, so it does the job of covering a very unflattering out of style hand me down, and does look nice!
I honestly expected a little more than a large blanket. This is nothing more than a large, rectangular piece of cloth. It doesn't even completely cover my very average sofa. I could have easily - and far more cheaply - purchased a couple sheets to drape over the sofa. They will function in my situation, this sofa is in my basement studio and it doesn't have to be perfect. However, I would be pretty upset if I purchased this with the expectation of using it where someone could see it in the living space of my home.
CONS: This is pretty much an overpriced, awkward sized, thin blanket. It does not stay in place what-so-ever. Not only that, but the width is not appropriate for a normal sized coach. It's super long, so it hangs over the sides of the couches - but the fabric doesn't cover the base of the couch, or the back of the couch, making it impossible to stay on or tucked. Huge waste of money. PROS: The fabric is soft.
