This was my first time purchasing mini blinds in this color. We just had installed new windows in the kitchen and the woodwork is light oak. This khaki color accents the window perfectly and gives a whole new flair to the kitchen. I am considering purchasing for my office area as well. Great product and you can not beat the price.
I love these blinds. Now, they do not block all of the sunlight, but it works perfectly for me. It does darken the room just as it describes. The color is unique, but perfect to compliment those earth tones. I have the white room darkening blinds in my son's room, and it is amazing how well white blinds actually help to darken his room.
I really thought I had my heart set on the off white blinds but the ONLY one that offered the 71" wide was the khaki. I was hesitant, because the color was kind of a pumpkin/brown. Now that I have them hanging in my kitchen, they look PERFECT and are the perfect fall color. The added bonus is that this is right next to my sink and I will bet it won't get nearly as dirty as the white would! These did NOT disappoint and FYI I have a really really nice, large home and these fit right in! I topped it off with one of the Walmart, Ellery brand plaid-ish valances - looks SO nice! $30 bucks total and I have got one perfect kitchen window! My photo shows a little ceasers pizza box right net to it to compare colors. It is like a paper bag color almost =)
Too much glare at 6am, these Khaki shades offer controlled lighting. Great for a tv room that gets a lot of sun/glare too.
I purchased 5 large blinds and 10 smaller ones for my home...these blinds are of a very good quality and definitely are room darkening and help keep the sun out of the house. The khaki color was just the color I needed to compliment my home. I would recommend these blinds as a great purchase for the price. :)
Needed something to replace old curtains and the little woman, more effectionately known as the boss, wanted more privacy. Read the reviews, liked the price, so ordered two. They arrived ahead of schedule, packaged well and all parts were there. Instructions were clear and I had both hung in about 45 minutes. Quality is at least equivelant to the price. I could feel an immediate drop in temp (southern exposure) and I'm in good graces with the boss for the added privaçy. This product does exactly what we wanted it to do at a fraction of what you could spend on other products.y
For inexpensive blinds they are fine, have a wood tone appearance, and function as blinds should. The only caution I would give others is that the the length is inadequate for a patio door. I assumed they would be long enough (without measuring the legth only measured the width) and found they only reach about 4/5 of the way to the floor. But the only other option I was aware of was the vertical blinds which I do not care for, so these will suffice.
I do like my new mini blinds. However, the box it came in looked as though it was chewed on by a dog. Also, I didn't have all my parts in the box. I didn't want to deal with shipping them back to get the brackets that hold the mini blinds up. (that's what was missing) I used my white brackets, since I have a curtain over that part it wont be seen. If I didn't have my curtains I would have (and should have) sent them back to get another sent to me. I ordered 2, one was perfect, the other box was not. Is this walmarts fault, I doubt it. Who ever delivered FEDX or UPS is the blame here.
I replaced 30 year old special order metal blinds with these blinds. They were easy to install, look very nice and I love the color, which was described online as khaki, they are actually rose or a light mauve which was fine, it matches my living room colors. I know that blinds are shorter than box size so I wasn't surprised when these were 3/4" narrower than stated. I could not find a better value on the price. I had shopped in person and online and this size blinds started at $50.00 everywhere else I had looked. The only thing I have a problem with, is that they don't close as tight as my old blinds. Standing outside with the blinds closed I can either see 12' across the floor or across the ceiling depending on which way they are closed. If it wasn't for that, I would have given them a 5 star. They have only been up 12 days but they work great.
