Great little sewing kit, nice carrying case as well. Only one little problem, it will move, so maybe puts some books on either side so it can stay still. Now other than that, its great, and fun.
I live in a small apartment, and I am a short person. I find it hard to find pants that fit both my waist and my legs. I was looking for a small sewing machine that did a simple straight stitch so I could hem my pants. When I found this machine I thought it was perfect. Boy was I wrong. First off it is way to light, I ended up duct taping to my table to make it stay in one place. 2nd it is impossible to get the tension correct, the spring is either to strong or the screw is to short but when I finally got it to were the thread would be able to slide through correctly and I started to sew the screw for the tensionor would pop right off the machine. 3rd the machine only uses bobbin size spools of thread. So if you have a lot of sewing to do(I learned when I tried to make curtains) you constantly have to stop and wind up the bobbin again.At which it does a poor job at anyways, at first it looks like its doing it right, but when you look closely at the bobbin you will realize that it is not wound uniformly. Some parts are tight and others are loose, then you'll spend another day trying to get the tension just right again. 4th if you have not given up by this point the tension randomly changes so after you have sewn two to three inches the thread with break because of the tension.If I did not wait three months to take it out of the box it would have went back to the store with in the first week. Do your self a favor Don't Buy This little Machine and don't read only the reviews posted here of a product. Do your own search of a product review. I wish I did before I bought this. I Googled the machine after I had problems and found out that these issues are normal issues for this machine. I have had this machine for 9 months now and it still has the last pair of pants I tried to hem on it thrown over the machine from when I fineally gave up on it. And now I am looking for a "real" sewing machine.
