I ordered it on a Sunday evening based on the reviews here. It was delivered to my condo that Wednesday. It is very comfortable and looks great with my high end black leather sectional sofa and contemporary furnishings here in downtown Chicago. Everyone assumes I ordered it from a high end store here in the loop. My little secret... You will NOT be disappointed!
Love this chair! It's quite stylish and very very comfortable. I'm happy that the leather is nice and not plasticy feeling, the side and back match the real leather perfectly. The stitching gives it clean lines. It's wide and comfotable. I love that it has two reclining positions which a lot of others did not have. Some people have said that the back is too short, but we're on the short side so we've not had a problem. ( My husband is 5'10.5 so you might be able to judge using that ). Thinking about buying a second one!
I bought two for our TV room two years ago. They look so classy, and they are still beautiful. . We sit in them every day, our grandkids each claim one when they visit, and they are 3 and 5 years old. If you have back pain, or recently had surgery a recliner is just the perfect chair to have. I have slept in mine for quite a while and slept like a baby. Never my intention when I bought them, but am I glad I did. Most important easy to wipe down. One concern if you move forward they can tip not as heavy as the larger recliners.
This recliner was the perfect purchase. It is the perfect size, not too bulky and it is not heavy, which is great for when you want to move it. I love it because it looks so stylish and it does not take up a lot of space. I bought it for my mom for Christmas and she was elated.
I was looking for a smaller recliner chair for our bedroom, and this one works perfectly. We are able to set the back of the chair right up against the wall, because when it reclines it moves forward, not backward. Perfect for a smaller space. Very sleek, and comfortable too!
I was looking for extra seating in my living room, but recliners were too expensive. I found this chair and bought it immediately after seeing the reviews. It is a beautiful, high quality chair that looks far more expensive than it was. I definitely agree that it might not be as comfortable for very tall people. My husband and I are both 5'6 and we both think it's perfect. The chair came out of the box in two pieces: the back piece and the main part of the chair. They snap together in seconds, and that's it for assembly.
This is a great chair. I just retired and needed a relaxing recliner at a reasonable price. This is what's up. I am Totally Pleased.
This recliner is a nice looking chair. The padding is plush. The chair is easy to assemble. The only thing that I dont like is the back is too low. Other people mentioned this but I thought only a tall person would be uncomfortable. I am five feet six inches. When I fully recline,I have to position myself just right to fit on the chair. I will make sure my next purchase has a higher back.
I had just recently bought a modern style recliner from another store but ended up returning it because it was too big for my small space, but it was 100% COMFORTABLE. I checked out walmart online and read all the good reviews about this MANHATTAN RECLINER chair and was very excited to own one. I oredered site to store and picked up my chair two weeks ago. It is a very good looking chair. Much better looking than the picture and the leather looks really good. It's also nice that the seat cushiion is firm. After two weeks of sitting on it many diffrent ways and trying to convince myself that I was comfortable,....I just was not. I am 5'7 160lb. The back is just to low to get any head supprt when reclined. You can't even sit straight on it like a regular club chair (REGULAR UNRECLINED POSITION) because the back has slight recline to it already so you have lean back and hold your head up the whole time. Also because the cushion is nice and thick it causes the seat height to be a little bit high "for me" making me slide down the nice leather. I already disassembled it and boxed up ready to be returned. I am using my old ikea club chair which is good for sittng.
We have purchased this recliner two days ago. They are far from comfort!!! the back support is TOO short even for my 5 foot wife!! The leather quality looks cheap. The recliner is not presentable for people who are looking for a comfort and style. Overall, Not worth the money spent on it.
