Each Standard Pro M drum set comes with a full complement of double-braced Mapex hardware and when you buy the kit, you get the cat--a free maple and cherry black panther snare drum--in an exclusive new 6" x 13" size. Pro M Series snare drums also sport a 20-split-lug design for greater tuning precision and a sleek, contemporary look. You now have more reasons than ever to get behind a Mapex Pro M. Mapex's low-mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance. The bass drum's non-penetrating I.T.S. double tom holder isolates the bass drum shell from any vibration from the tom toms. The tom's mount is secured via the lugs and is not drilled directly into the shell. The Mapex I.T.S. System allows the shell to vibrate freely, allowing for maximum projection and resonance. Toms and snares are equipped with exclusive Mapex Powerhoops. Made from 2.3mm chrome steel, the Mapex Powerhoop provides flex resistance without adding unnecessary weight that may mute the drum.
