I bought this light to give a soft glow to a fish pond, the alternating colors lend with the colors of the water and plants and softly illuminate the area as it changes from greens and blues to pinks, purples,reds, yellows and orange My only regret is I didn't know of them before this as I sure would have had one in the pond and plan on another one in the front patio on the table setting at night.
I needed something to take the place of the non-functional gas lantern in the front yard. I took the top off the lantern and placed the globe in it's stand inside. It works just fine.
I was skeptical of the quality, but the light is wonderful. It even looks nice in the daytime.
Sensor daytime/nighttime works fine, but color function does not stay as programmed. Ok product.
Ordered 14 total of these lights. First, I ordered 8. Then I saw how neat they are and ordered 5 more. Of the first 8 all worked perfectly. Of the 5 only 2 worked as they should. One has a broken battery box, and the other 2 are just stuck on red and do not color change. I tried to order 3 more to replace the ones I am returning, but they are all sold out. I could only order 1. I hope they get more in. They look great around my back yard.
the globe has a horizontal ridge all the way across the middle of the globe and is off centered(not glued together properly) like they were in a hurry. yes, i'm disappointed. for $22's, I was expecting something to be a bit more higher quality than this piece of junk. its about a $7 item at most. the pros: its pretty, and that's why I bought this globe. the cons: cheaply made and overpriced. will look elsewhere next time for an item like this.
Just picked up this item at store. I thought I was getting a pair of these for $22.00. I think the picture deceived me. Just so you know, you only get one of these for the price.
I agree with the previous reviewer the sensor daytime/nighttime works fine, but color function does not stay as programmed. i wanted green and seeing that you can set to a certain color i bought it and it came without the stake and little cap i think it was so they gave me a few bucks credit, great then it stays on green few hrs and changes to red what is up with this product, i had a green globe outside for 4 years and light beautifully every single night of each year
