I have blue-gray colored eyes and the royal blue mascara gives them lots of pretty blue color. The mascara stays on even when the weather is hot and muggy yet it washes off easily with just soap and water.
I was using the Royal Blue for many years and was sad when I went to the store and couldn't find it anywhere. I am not a fan of waterproof mascara and Great lash goes on so nicely, no clumping and the color was awesome. Please bring back the Royal Blue for all your loyal fans!!!
I've been using the Maybelline blue mascara for probably 20 years--I bought 2 tubes a couple years ago because I was having trouble finding it; it seemed to be becoming scarce. Now I can't find it at all. People have always remarked on my blue eyes, and this product made them even more noticeable. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Even if you market it only online at your site--those of us who have depended on the blue mascara for many years will have a way to keep using it.
However it's hard to find in the store so I have to buy on line. Then again I love on line shopping. Can it get any easier. I actually purchased this for my vet. She mentioned how much she liked the blue mascara and it's hard to find. I figured the more people I turn on to it the better chance the store might carry it in the future.
So, I have been using this mascara for many years now. I get the waterproof but it can be difficult to remove. So, I have been putting this one on under the waterproof version and it's wonderful. The mascara comes off much easier and my lashes look amazing.
Maybelline mascara is tried %26 true. It's difficult to find the blue. Usually only black or brown is available in the store I visit. Does not irritate my eyes. Have used Maybelline for years, like me it's been around for years %26 formula seem to be the same. A lot of cosmetic companies change formulation on popular items. My motto is "if it aint broken, don't fix it". Thanks Maybelline.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mascara in the #greatlashblue voxbox and I was excited to see that a product I so fondly remember my mother using when I was a little girl has made a comeback in a big way! First off I want to say thank you to @influenster & @maybelline for the free products for testing! This was my first #voxbox and I was incredibly excited to try on and review the makeup. Please keep in mind though the products were free my review is my own honest opinion... so now all that is out of the way, here it is. [product:maybelline-great-lash-royal-blue-mascara] comes in the cute and classic tradition bright pink and green tube we all know and love from maybelline great lash mascaras and it also has the same (I'd describe it as a more separated spiral bristle) lash building brush. As for the formula I love that it is smooth and not clumpy, it doesn't leave me with tarantula eyes and I love that I can keep building until I am satisfied with my look! When it comes to the color I also am satisfied with the results, I am a brunette with dark lashes and you definitely see a slight pop of color in most lights. Outside in the sun and in well light areas that slight pop becomes a wow! The royal blue really is a gorgeous color and gives even my everyday simple cateye and chapstick a fun wow factor without the overdone feeling. Just a tip: use a mascara primer, for those of you with dark lashes that really want the blue to pop more, it really helps to add to the drama!
I bought this mascara because it was cheaper than the one I have been using for 5 years. I had an allergic reaction after using it for only 6 days. I will NEVER buy this mascara again. I would give it zero stars if I could. I do not recommend this mascara.
I have been using this mascara for over 20 years and something has definitely changed. The last tube I bought did not seem to be the same and did not apply the same way. I just bought a new one a couple of days ago and the inside scraper that thins out the mascara is gone! The applicator just swirls around and there is no way anyone could apply this mascara without making a mess!
This mascara sucks! It's almost as if the formula has changed or something. First time wearing it and I get a stye that same night. It's also SO HARD to remove like impossible. My eyelashes come off when I try removing it and I can never fully take it off.
