I already had a similar style knee brace (a different brand) that has been amazing for me and allowed me to do many activities I otherwise couldn't. I purchased this one by Curad for summer, thinking it wouldn't stand out as much when I wore shorts. However, it just did not provide the same support and it really wasn't of any use to me. I bought two and will be returning the one I did not use.
