***Organic old fashioned oats - Better for me & quicker to fix**** I purchased these (6) for long-term storage because they will not take as long to cook. - I first put the oats of one container in a Food Saver Bag, figured out how much on the side I could cut off which I did after sealing that side, then I spread the oats around (sometimes you need to seal the top opening to do this -then cut off - to Seal properly. {The first one I did put in container to seal but was awkward & had a lot of extra bag -so didn't do that again.) I had measured how much I could cut off & measured these on all the others. I then rinsed out the container & lid, let 'em dry. When dry, I pushed the oats' bag into the container. Since they bags weren't circular, the container was not in a circle - so I just put some alum. foil over the top & taped it - to keep out light. When I need to use, I can then just empty the bag into the container or a mason jar.
Buy in bulk to save money.
I was looking for an oatmeal that had few to none on oat husks and this one has met the requirement. Tastes good too.
