Fabulous system-100x better than any other!

I saw the bad review on this item, and had to do my own, since we've had a WONDERFUL experience with this system and I'd hate for someone to be detered and go Graco (insane number of recalls and breaks) or end up with a lower-end item, or over paying for one of the "luxury" brands. We got this in the Discovery color in 2009 with our first, then have used it for our second. I know 5 other good friends and family members who have it in various colors (2 of them have this Chic color) and they've all loved it too. I'm sorry the other reviewer had such a bad time with theirs, but none of the rest of us have had the same experience! It is true that you have to sit the "bassinet" level of the seat up to fold up the stroller, and it is about 5-6" tall even when collapsed, but I've used a Graco, a Safety 1st, and a McClaren and they've been just as big. To tell you the truth, the Graco was a JOKE it was so poorly designed, heavy, and hard to get the infant seat in/out, then it was recalled and I felt like we'd been driving around completely unsafe. The Mcclaren was actually nice, but its so expensive you could buy 3 of these Chicco systems for what it cost. The infant seat clicks in and out of the stroller or the base with ease, much easier than even the $600 Peg Perego strollers/seats we tried out. The stroller turns nicely, is rugged enough to go on bike paths that arn't paved, and made trips to Disney with ease. The handle bars tilt up and down, which is nice since Mom and Dad are rarely comfortable with it at the same height. The infant seat is well padded and you don't need any extra infant head rest for the earliest stage. I know 2 preemies who have used this system and both were told by their Drs that this was the best choice for a carseat. The basket underneith is not huge, but not small. Big enough to carry 3 waterbottles, 2 jackets, sacks of purchases, and an umbrella at the outlet mall. I think any bigger and itd make the stroller crazy heavy. Its also nice that the infant seat and the stroller sun shades overlap - newborns don't get hit with the sun and you don't have to use anything additional like a blanket. All told we tried 5-6 brands of strollers out before we bought this one, and my sister actually bought 2 different (very expensive..) stroller/infant seats (Britax and Peg Perego) before buying this one. We've never had a single issue with squeeking or the seat not latching right (not in all 5 seats/strollers I'm intimately familiar with). The only thing I ever saw that could be considered a "problem" is that the warning stickers on the side bubbled and peeled off about 2 years after we bought the product....not really a deal breaker for anyone I can imagine. All in all, the safety, size, turning, smoothness, and features make it a great purchase, and the best one on the market at any price IMO (since it is also the #1 system on the market, I'm guessing a lot of others agree). If you can, go to a store and try out the different brands - I'm willing to bet you go Chicco in the end.

DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER!! Where do I even begin? The first problem we are experiencing is that one of the wheels on the stroller is now making a squeaky/rattling sound after only 6 months of use. The second is back of the seat is slightly tilted, this had not become an issue until recently because my daughter is now beginning to sit in the seat. We have tried adjusting the fabric, but it did not help the tilit. The third issue is the stroller is very large when collapsed, and is not very user friendly. We have a newer Honda Civic which has tons of trunk space and this stroller takes almost 3/4 of the trunk. If you have a small trunk forget about it!! You have to sit the seat up completely before lowering the handle bars, only then can you collapse stroller. The fourth issue is our car seat can be very hard to remove from the base, a lot of the time I have to repeatedly lower and pull up the car seat before it releases. It is almost as if the release lever gets jammed. The fifth issue is the most concerning, there have been several times we put our daughter's seat into the base and will hear the snaps, then while driving will hear yet another snap almost as if it did not snap in fully or is lifting and snapping again. The sixth issue is when the infant seat is snapped in there is NOOO room to put anything in the lower basket! Being an active mother of two this is a major problem! The problems just go on and on. We are now dealing with Chicco's customer service which has been a joke! Save the yourself the frustration and do NOT buy this stroller!
