It hasen't given me any problems as far as glitching and the speed is faster thanks to the more memory of the 160 gig drive. I love this product and I would recommend it to anyone that is into video gamming. I also reccoment getting an HDMI cable for crystal clear picture and sound if you haven't already done so.
The bundle was a great idea, the game Uncharted is wonderful, the story line keeps you glued to your seat just to see what happends next. The only thing about the system is that you cannot play your PS2 games.
This system is great. It does mostly everything you would want it to do besisdes the fact that it doesn't play PS2 games, and has no SD card slots like the older systems. The Value of this product may make you think whoa, that's a big price tag, but the fact that this is the greatest Video Game System ever made makes this worthy of its price. Overall, this system is amazing and I love it.
Just what I expected and the bundle deal made for a great start with the console and blu ray player
I purchased this for my Grandson, he enjoys it a lot, but we have to control the amount of time he spends on it. Without controls he would tend to be overly consumed with the games and would forget that there are other things in life that are more value added. The product itself meets or even exceeds all of our expectations.
This particular bundle with Drake's (40.00) and PAIN (9.99) is a great start if you don't already own one. PS3 value is in that it provides a Playstation Console, Internet Browser, BluRayPlayer, Multimedia Storage. It can display compatible video sources at 1080P, and audio at 7 channels. If you are not tech savy to change out harddrives, this is a good model. This is my second, my first 60GB 2 years old. has about 20 GB left but I don't have all my media on it that is mostly game data/downloads/demos etc. It has a picture slideshow feature that I use for parties and get togethers that is pretty neat. Primarily though it is for those of us that want HD components.
I've had my ps3 since February 07. People say that the blu ray messes up and that the system is faulty but i've had my sistem for two years running smoothly and i have not had a problem with it. The graphics are stunning. Blu ray movies are just so much better than their dvd counterparts, and there's just so many things you can do with this system. I honestly think that this is a much better buy than the xbox 360. I have a 360 and have had to send it off 5 times, not joking. The thing makes so much noise and breaks so often that now it sits gathering dust in my room, while my ps3 is always entertaining me. You can play online with others for free on the games, unlike the 360, and there's just such a vast majority of the systems in which the ps3 comes out on top. Remember, i've had it for 2 years and havent had a problem with my ps3, so for the durability, the entertainment, and all the things my ps3 does for me, i have to say this is a top notch product. A+++++++++++
My boyfriend & I recently purchased the PS3 for a Christmas gift for his kids. It was really a gift for all of us. The resolution with a HD tv is great. Any movie that you watch on it, the color is awesome. I would recomend the purchase if you have kids or if you're a kid at heart. The cost of the games are pretty much the same as the other consoles, so that didn't change the only draw back is that it's not backwards compatible but hey if you already have a PS 2, you don't need to worry about playing the older games on your new console. We all love our new PS3.
I like this product and the game that came with it except for the language used in the game uncharted. The game is rated T for teen but I find that they use a lot of offensive language that in my opinion is not needed in a game. Why can't they make a game without useing offensive language? If you have children and do not want them exposed to this kind of language then you may want to pick up one of the PS3's that come without a bonus game. The system itself works great and the bluray movies played on it with a HDMI cable look awesome.
PS3 is a great system without a doubt! How many people have $600 bucks to spend on a toy? I wish that I could play all PS & PS2 games on this system but I guess that would be asking too much! Anyway, I bought it and I like it but I think for that kinda money it should play all Playstation games. That's really my only gripe about it.
