It looks great, it blends very well with my wardrobe and it functions just as advertised. Frankly I couldn't be happier with it.
I have always preferred Timex watches, I recently added this watch to my collection - my previous daily watch was a Tide Temp Compass, which I also really like. I went with the Metropolitan+ for the activity tracker, the sleep tracker, the professional look (metal band), and I definitely prefer the looks of this watch more than a FitBit, Apple Watch, etc. I am very happy with the watch and with the style. The Timex Connected App needs to be updated soon. The ONLY negative that I have with this watch is the Timex Connected App. I frequently have to reenter my information and this resets the sensitivity and other slight tweaks that I have to change every time (sometimes multiple times per day). It appears that every time my iPhone notifies me of low storage, the Timex Connected App resets itself. My temporary work-around has been to install the App on my iPad, but this is inconvenient. I am waiting for another update to the App that will hopefully resolve this issue.
This product is a combination of really good look and really good functionality. I've owned this watch for a month and I'm so glad that I bought it. Just using it when I'm going to school, simply the whole day! Some days earlier was the application update released and it became better, because the app is more summary. I'm not a stickler but I think, this is a really awesome product to use daily.
I haven't worn a watch for 40 years, so when I decided recently to give it another try, I started looking with Timex. Not a surprise, as I've had many, starting with my first watch as a young boy. I subscribed on the website, and shortly thereafter, received a great promotion offer for members. Wow, how things have things have changed -- so many choices. I decided on a Waterbury Chronograph (#TW2P95500), a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, it went out-of-stock before I had a chance to order. Still wanting to take advantage of the promo, I decided to try this Metropolitan+ Activity Tracking model (#TW2P99000ZA). Timex shipped it to me in less than a week. I was super happy with the Metropolitan+: great size, fit and finish, a sturdy and awesome quick-release metal band, and it has an overall heft that I like. The movement and alignment is what I would expect in this price range, not perfect but pretty sharp. Being afflicted with a pretty small wrist, I wish the adjustments on the metal band were a bit more flexible, but it's working for me. I downloaded the “Timex Connected” app and within a minute or two had the watch setup and syncing perfectly with my Android phone. After having it for only a few days, the tracking of activity (steps/distance/sleep) was pretty impressively accurate, but I noticed that the INDIGLO feature had stopped working. I contacted Timex immediately, and given how short a time I had the watch, they agreed to just send me out a replacement, no charge. Heck, I got the new one in a couple days -- even before I had a chance to ship the defective one back. Impressive! My experience with the new one has been the same, working flawlessly, and have received a number of compliments. The Metropolitan+ looks compelling, but not ostentatious or gaudy -- it's classy -- the activity tracking and app are working great for me, and… oh yeah, it keeps great time. Well done Timex! I'm still itching for that Waterbury Chronograph, and looking at sport watches too – just a matter of time. (pun intended) P.S. I don't write many reviews, but when I do, it's Dos Equ… (sorry, got of track there), when I do I'm pretty direct for good or bad. I've said plenty good here; bad, I got nuthin.
Such a fun watch for a day to day activities tracking. Helps to see how much movement is going on throughout the day. Great because I have a desk job and this helps to remind how much physical activity should be implemented according to my goals.
Gave this watch to my daughter Xmas 2015... battery died and cannot find any place to have the battery replaced. One watch maker said to send it back to Timex. Please advise.
It is just "good looking". The distance measure/tracker is highly inaccurate. GPS type distance measure/tracker would be a good adjustment for the wristwatch or the app. I would recommend this watch only for its appearance.
I felt that it looked very different in person. One example: On the site the photo made the hands look like white. But they were metal. The metal of the hands didn't match the metal of the body or strap, which made it look cheap. It would have looked higher quality with plastic white hands. Your web photo was too good.
The watch is nice looking, but it does not even come close to tracking steps accurately. We changed the sensitivity of the pedometer through the phone app multiple times to no avail. The phone app is not very good either. Not worth the money.
I purchased this watch just before going on travel for work. When I returned home, and open the watch i was excited because it looked and had the feel of a high quality time piece. Unfortunately after i synched it to my phone and performed the firmware update 2 hours later the watch stopped working. I had the battery changed and the issue persisted. Because I was away on travel when the watch arrived and opened it after the return period, I am stuck with a brick. There is no useful support data online for this watch in spite of its early fairly positive reviews. I do not recommend this watch. Support is almost non-existent and I am overall dissatisfied with it and the "jet" 30 day return policy.
