Delicious, and healthful, great for salads or snacking. Since they are sliced, I don't have to worry about stray pits.
This product is delicious and better than the other olive brands I've tried. You can actually taste the olive and not just the salty brine like some products.
I love kalamata olives and this brand makes some of the best. Since they are sliced they are easy to add to whatever you're making.
I love anything "Kalamata" but these olives are truly exceptional. They have a nice, deep flavor without being bitter and the skins (if you even notice them) are always smooth and not dry. Having them pre-sliced is a big time saver when it comes to salads and other dishes, especially when I'm in a hurry. They are also very reasonably priced, which is a nice bonus. Mezzetta makes many wonderful products, this one is at the top of my list. Try them with Mezzetta capers and a good Saba dressing with sliced heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Add a few sprinkles of black lava salt and fresh ground pepper and you'll be so glad you tried them!
We love these for topping salads and pizzas. This item is not always in Stock at my local store, so buying online assures me that my pantry is always full.
The great value brand is significantly better than these…. this brand is entirely too salty and more expensive. Try the great value brand, it's much better.
These are wonderful olives, and I'm fully addicted to them. However, I ordered 4 jars, and they were individually wrapped in bags and put in a box with one lousy piece of packing paper. So as to be expected, one jar was smashed to pieces, and the juice leaked out of the bag into the rest of the box. It was a mess.
Well, I made the mistake of assuming these were just like their whole Olives just cut in half.... WRONG!! The ½'s are salty, tough and flavor is different. Probably cut in half they absorb too much brine. I've always loved the Mezzetta Whole Greek Olives. I made a mistake with these ½'s. Live n' learn. I'll be buying the whole Olives from now on. -Joe
I have tasted fresh kalamata oluves for years. Mazzetta has simply made their distinctive flavor disappear under an ocean of salty brine. Avoid it!!!
I love mezzetta olives and other products. I LOVE SALT on most everything. BUT.... these kalamata olives were NOT EDIBLE. I think they accidentally doubled or tripled the salt. Expensive Waste of Great Olives
