I bought my Ford F150 new in 2007, I just replaced my Michelin tires which had 89,810 origional miles 20 thousand miles beyound the expectiations of service. I just purchased 4 brand new Michelins and hope to get the same quality as my origional tires.
These tires came as original equipment on a 2010 Ford XLT Supercrew pickup. I've only had the truck for 8 months now, but the area I live in has had nearly twice the usual rainfall, so I can speak to the wet traction afforded by these Michelins. Driving on freeway and two lane, I have been pleasantly surprised by the grip and the quiet ride. I replaced the air in the tires with nitrogen. I will be buying these Michelins when the time comes to replace them.
I removed another brand of tire from my truck before they were worn because I was not satisfied with their performance and decided to treat myself to some Michelin tires. This was the best tire decision I ever made. These tires ride quiet and very smooth and are wearing great. I am in the construction business and travel many miles back and forth to work and I really love the ride these tire give my truck. If your in the market for tires I highly recommend the Michelin brand. You will not be disappointed. I currently have Michelins on 2 of my vehicles and they are the only tires I will purchase in the future.
This is the second set of Michelin LTX radials I have used on a Light Truck. The first set had 60K miles when I sold the truck and they easily had 15K tread life left; and I pull a heavy trailer daily. This set I've had for 1-1/2 years with 25K on them and the tread is hardly showing any wear. Keep the front end aligned, rotate them regularly and as far as I'm concerned, they are the longest lasting tires available.
I am an absolute nut about long life & mileage on all my tires, but I would trade off a little bit of mileage for a tad better winter performance. Specifically, not a deeper tread, but a little bit different rubber compound (ala snow tire) to get through these upper Midwest winters.
There comes a time where you own a vehicle long enough you have to purchase a set of tires. You forget that new car ride, the sensation of stopping quickly and safely and quietness of the vehicle with out good tires. Than comes the shopping and deliberating and 100's of options and customer reviews to muddle through and of course price. First let me say these are the best tires I have ever owned in my 25 years plus of driving and these are on our family SUV slash my wifes daily driver. We originally had it narrowed down to 3 brands meaning really price which was followed closely by customer reviews. Out of the three final options the Michelin's on all the websites just kept coming up with the best reviews for quietness in the cabin, longevity of tread life and ride. All of the reasons played a huge role in the decision process which again all lead us back to the Michelin's and it was the best choice by far the ride is superior and it has surpassed any expectations we could of had with comfort but most importantly safety and handling in the wet and winter conditions we have had. In closing they we not the most expensive and definitely not the least but they we the best decision.
I've tried other brands and none of them can match my Michelins. They are quiter, smoother, and longer lasting than any other tire I've tried. In addition Michelin's top notch customer service allows me to purchase their tires in confidence that if I have an issue or am not totally satisfied they will take care of me. I say this from personal experience with them.
ran these tires on my 06 2500HD chevy duramax. they got me 50000 trouble free miles, and since i am a fanatic about having good tires on my vehicle at all times. I allowed myself to talked into trying a different tire. BIG MISTAKE! I am now getting ready to replace the tires on my truck after only 25000 miles. Going back to Michelins and will never stray again. Sorry Michelin Man if my lack of faith brought a tear to your eye. Should have been smarter than that. I honestly believe Michelin to be the best and most respected tire brand out there. And due to the life one can expect out of Michelins they are the most economical tires on the market.
I am 64 years old and have used many different types of tires. Since I started using Michelin tires 14 years ago I have never used anything else. I have found that I get the most comfortable ride on a Michelin tire as well as the most mileage for the money. And just to mention, I have never felt safer on any other tire thank you Michelin for my peace of mind for me and my family.
Replacement set for my F-150 FX2. Intially loved the tires; quieter and snoother than the original tires. But on a 60,000 mile tread, I was able to get only 25 to 30 thousand out of the first two. Looks like about the same from the third tire (replaced first two because of an unrepairable flat and the second pair a year later because of wear, then had one of the last two damaged beyond repair and replaced two years later). I did replace with the same tires so will see if I just got a bad set or these do have a bad wear. I do like the tires and am hoping that the wear problem is an isolated problem. If it appears that they eill continue to wear at the same rate, I will change to a different series. If the wear problem goes away I would recommend them.
