First of lets get the cons out of the way. This cannot play bluray discs. However, Walmart sells some cheap bluray players. Having a stand alone player is not a problem. In fact, that is less wear and tear on your gaming system if you choose that direction. Yes, the Slim version has that annoying power brick. I don't like it. Now, if you already have a 360 that works, this is a waste of money. If you have that kind of money to spend, get a PS3 to compliment your gaming systems. That way you can play PS3 exclusives. Nothing wrong with supporting both companies if you wish. The Slim 360 is definitely an improvement. It does run quieter & seems like a more solid system. It also seems to have alot more ventilation. I think Micrrosoft really scored with this. If you don't have a 360 or your old doesn't work anymore , this is a great value. The Christmas bundle is a great deal even at $300. The 250GB is a must have to install games, movies, & extras. So far, I am very pleased. The 2 free games & 3 month live service is a real bonus. That way you hit the ground running a couple of quality games. Graphically & sound wise, it's awesome. The controller, interface & the set up is very easy to use. The mulitiplayer is smooth & user friendly. The WiFi connection is a great feature as well. I think this is defintitely not a mistake in buying. Right now the older 360 games are cheap so building a game library won't be a problem. So I would recommend this product. Go down to your local Walmart & buy one if they are still available. It's a deal. Get one while you can...
My husband has the older, non wifi model and I decided to get myself this because I wanted to be able to put his in our back room for him to play at night like he does and so that I had one in the living room to play, and watch netflix. The new model is so nice, I was very surprised. I really love it and would recommend it.
Needed to replace my 4GB 360 and my copy of Fable III, I don't like Halo, but why not get 2 free games (one i needed to buy anyway) and a 250 GB HD 360 for the same price as just a 250GB console?!? Right!? I even bought the last one in my area how luck of me. I do not like: the fact that the 250GB has a Matte finish, my 4GB had a glossy finish and I liked that a lot. But it's just looks, they don't matter as much as performance. No issues in that department thus far, and I do not foresee any.
This xbox bundle is the best you can get i bought it and it was the best gift i can give to someone in Christmas

Bought this as back-up to my PS3 but is quickly becoming the better liked of the two. The U.I. is smooth with lots of options across all types of media and the gaming catalog for downloadable games is much bigger than that of Sony... An added plus for me is the ability to pay using the PayPal service.
The pros: This is a 250gb xbox 360. It comes with 15 months of X-Box Gold. This is the S-line which I own (4gb Kinect). The controller is comfortable in my hands, the wifi built-in is the best part of this line of 360s. The quality of the design is great as it has many vents for keeping the console cool which was a problem with past designs, this keeps your 360 safe from RRoDs from overheating. Cons: Sensitive eject button, you can set it off by your shirt, tusly it is recommended to have a piece of paper over it if you have a problem with it so that you do not accidently open it when you reach for something. The power button is sensitive as well otherwise there is no other issues. The free games are good to have as bundled because this decreses the overall costs. The selection of the bonus games I feel is a tad limited so I got a game I liked. The 15 months of Gold is worth $85.00 alone. The games are worth about Fable III states it is $49.95 at MS Store, Halo Reach is $39.95 and I chosen Soul Calibur IV which is a $15.95 game. The total retail vaule of the bouns stuff is about $191.00 effectively making the 360 $108.00 which is not a bad deal. In fact it is pretty cheap concidering the console alone is $299.00. Kudos Walmart for having this great deal. I am glad that I got this deal so I can replace my nephews old and nearly dead 360.
we bought this for our grandson for his birthday. The Halo game was a download. When I bought it the description seemed a little different from the way it is now. The download was impossible. It took over 3 hours and the box shuts off before it finishes. After talking to support we found out there were similar problems. We had to go buy the game for $70. By looking at this picture you would not know. don't buy this bundle. Buy the x-box then the game and save headaches.
