My 11 year old saved up his money to purchase these 2-way radios. He is having a lot of fun with them and they have good voice clarity. Without an FCC license, though, you can only use certain frequencies that are lower powered. I wish that the information regarding frequency use was covered better on the product description.
These were a birthday gift to my daughter so that she could talk to her bff (who lives less than five miles away) without running our cell phone bill sky high. It was difficult to figure out how to make them work and, after all that effort, the girls STILL couldn't talk with each other. They were able to hear other people, but never each other (they were communicating by cell phone as they tried to work together to get the radios set up). I hope you guys live up to your return policy's reputation, because I plan to return them to the store Monday evening after work!
