I bought this set of knives as an anniversary gift for my son and daughter-in-law because I liked mine so much. I've had my knives for several years now and use them daily. They are even better than my previous set of knives that cost three times more. I caution users to be extra careful around these knives because they are very sharp. I recommend them highly.
One of the best knife I have used... I got one set before for my mother in law I like it so much I ended up getting one for myself.
I bought this set based on recommendation from my sister and others. It is a very sharp cutting and looks good too.
I bought this set approximately 15 ago and I still use it all the time. It store's easily. The knives wash great even in the dishwasher and the blades still cut like new. My son recently bought his first home and was in need of everything. I purchased a set for him confident that he would love it. He does!
I bought this knife set as a gift for my son, age 20, who loves to cook. He's had them for a couple of weeks. I asked Him for a rating and He says they are excellent knives. He does admit, they are a little different to use, because they are designed differently than regular knife sets, and will take a little getting used to, but that they are very good quality and are very sharp. He was very glad to receive these as a gift. Make sure to read the instructions, as they are not dishwasher safe, making sure to hand wash only. The knife block this set came with, holds the knives properly and was a good buy with the set. I bought the knife block set because the cost of the block was less expensive than buying a block separately, and after seeing how the knives fit into the block, I doubt a regular knife block would hold these knife appropriately. This is something to consider when purchasing this knife set. I would recommend this set to friends.
Many years ago, my brother bought a set of these knives. I had the opportunity to use them. I couldn't believe how well they worked. A few years later, I'd purchased as set for my mom, and two sisters each in 2010. Almost 7 years later, they're just as sharp, and cuts as well as when they were knew. Not just mine, but the sets purchased for the others. I'd recently purchased another set since I'd moved and left my old set with my eldest daughter so she would have an excellent set of knives, too. The scissors still work as well as they did when new, too.
My wife and I bought a set of these knives almost ten years ago and gave them to her mother when we moved to another state four years ago....that set still has its original edge! While trying to figure out a gift idea for my wife recently, I remembered those knives and found the newer version of them online at Walmart. I was pleased with the price of the set, which included a knife block, and the quick delivery. These are such sharp knives and have a good feel in the hand, at least for us. I would have preferred a stained knife block, but that's my personal taste. I am a little apprehensive when purchasing online with products that I cannot personally examine in a store first, but since I had a set prior to this purchase, I knew what to expect. These are very good knives at an excellent price. You will be able to enjoy this set of knives for as long as you want them around. Seriously, I can't believe our original set hasn't needed sharpening yet.
I am very pleased with the Miracle Blade Knife Set. I have a set myself and I love them. I use them all the time. I also bought a set for my daughter and she loves them also. So the last set I bought I bought as a house warming gift for my son and daughter-in-law. I have never owned a cutting board so I can answer for it. But the knife set I love. Very durable and I have had my set for years. And my daughter has had her set for at least five years. Neither of us put them in the dishwasher which it was recommended not to put them in the dishwasher. A very nice set for the price. Also this was the first time I have ever ordered something from Walmart and had it sent to another Walmart store in another state. I love in California and my son lives in Alabama. I ordered it on line and we were both notified by email and text that it was ready for pickup and he went to get them and had no problem picking them up. It only took a few days and the service was great. I will use that service again.
I like the knives just fine. However, one of the slots in the block is not drilled out completely so the knife will not go in. The sets are out of stock now on Wal-mart.com so I cannot get a replacement. I called the company and they said I would have to pay $39.99 to get another block sent to me. Even tho I explained that I had just received the set and it was defective when I got it!? They even stated that the block is under warranty for 1 year. So this is confusing to me. I could return the entire set to my local Wal-mart for a refund but I do like the knives so I will probably just wait until they get them in stock again.
I ordered the Miracle Blade III set from the manufacturer. Because I ordered through the infomercial ad, I got a double set. I've had the set for about 18 months now. All the knives have rust spots on them (you can see in the pictures I have provided) which tells me they are not the quality steel that is advertised and both sets of shears are broken. The advertisement said the shears were ideal for gardening and since I could not find my clippers, I tried to use a set to shorten some rose stems. On the first stem the handle of the shears snapped in two. You can hold them and tell they are poorly made. They remind me of childhood safety scissors. A few days ago I used my second set of shears to cut open a pill packet and the handle broke (picture provided) in the exact same place as the other pair. The farberware set of shears I bought for 3 dollars on the clearance aisle is 100 times higher quality. I will say though that purchasing the blades through Wal-Mart is a bonus because otherwise you will feel as though you are seriously scammed on the shipping and handling... If you order straight from the company, shipping costs are more than they charge for the blades.
