Very nice, and it is very safe for a wood deck, only thing is ,the bottom is very hot,Because the legs are low, you need to put something like a heart resistant pad below. And remember always remember to handle with gloves as it will become super hot with the metal.
This is a wonderful, though small, wood burning chimney. It's less than 5ft tall, compact and absolutely perfect for backyard patios or where safe. This Modern Chiminera weighs only about 20 lbs and easy to unpack and set up is a breeze taking only as long as it takes you to screw in 4 screws. That's it! You're now ready to sit around the Chiminera with family or friends staying toasty in the great outdoors! In warmer months you could put a small plant or flowers whether real or faux in it for a splash of color on your patio. Great for smaller areas where safe. Always safety first! I love this chiminera and enjoy just looking at it from my bedroom's patio.
Ive been on the hunt for a chiminea that gave me mid century vibes for about a year now. During quarantine I revamped the backyard and patio and this was the only thing I couldnt find. Finally amidst my Christmas shopping I stumbled across this beauty. I was really impressed with the quality and look of it for the price. Its showstopping for sure on the patio. Cant wait until I have some get-togethers with friends so we can light it up...
This is my very first patio wood burner and I am glad this is the one I got! It made me want to light a fire, grab my family to sit around it and roast marsh-mellows! They loved it. I love the design & black color with the copper on top. It adds a nice decor to our patio! It took about 5 minutes to put together ( easy) and comes with a poker which is definitely needed. We only put about 4 small chunks of wood in it each time we use it and it heats up well. The actual area inside would fit double that! Even those sitting off to the side, almost the back of it felt the heat adequately. This is a start of many wonderful family memories, sitting on our back patio in the cooler weather, during the holidays, with our little Chiminea. It is a treasure for the price.
It provides the heating we need and the smoke never bother us, it goes upward and away. It is SMALL and PORTABLE, exactly what we need. When it is not in use, it looks good too. We are happy that we did not spend more than it was necessary.
Amazing!!! Ok I cannot believe this is such a good price. I searched all over for this mid century type style of chiminea and landed on this, for $50 it was worth a try. We love it, have used it multiple times a day since it arrived. Easy to put together, gorgeous, looks so good on our new deck with our MCM home.
Its really solid and perfect for a small space. We haven't tried it out yet because its still too warm in the evening but cannot wait. Its still a nice addition to our backyard and makes it look cozier.
I love this thing. It was a great price, good modern design and really cute. A decent size too. I do think it is smart to get a cover for it when you dont use it to protect it from weather. Door is a little hard to close but with pliers you can bend the latch more and it works much better
Out of the box assembly took 5 minutes. The legs attach via 2 Phillips screws apiece. A nice touch is the brass receptacles for the screws, these will never rust. The grate insert is fairly heavy steel and will probably outlast the Chiminea. Another quality touch is the double walled stovepipe/chimney; it never got so hot I felt it was a danger to touch. This also helps with the updraft which makes it easy to start and even easier to keep going! The door is a little hard to latch once the fire is going and things get hot. A quick adjustment with some pliers fixed that! The poker is super well designed and makes stoking the fire a breeze. It also works well latching the door once the fire is lit. Not sure it was designed for this but I hooked it onto the chimney top and it stayed just fine. I plan to drill a hole in the poker handle and attach a hook to make storage easier. Aesthetically this thing ROCKS! It looks good on the patio even when not lit. The only issue I see down the road is rain getting into this, wetting the ashes and eventually rusting out the bottom. I plan on drilling a small "weep" hole in the bottom and placing a metal screen over it so water can drain. Ultimately keeping this out of the rain is the solution and placing a tin can over the top when the Chiminea is fully extinguished would help that! For the price this is a REAL WINNER and with a little care should last you for years!
Despite product description, NOT SAFE for any wood surface, patio, porch or balcony. Appropriate size fire on front porch resulted in large burn hole through 2x4 and into structural joist of deck. SEE PICS. Walmart customer support offered a discount on next purchase. Lol. CONCRETE ONLY.
