this tank is just what I needed to switch the generator on my motorhome from the main tank. now I can use ethanol-free gas in my generator and use regular gas to power my motorhome. I mounted it on a platform inserted into the rear of my motorhome with a gas line routed directly to my generator.
This is the second of these that I have purchased. It has proven to be a good replacement / addition to the factory original tank. It is rugged and stands up to normal use very well. It is also fairly low-profile and fits under the seat of my boat.
Works great easy transport you can see how much is in it.
The first one came to me broken. The tank had a broken fitting inside tank. Check it over carefully when you receive it. In use it works fine,
Solid tank but the End opposite the handle is tapered and it will not stand up like 90% of the other brands. Not a big deal in the boat but it takes up about three times as much room laying down as standing up in the garage.
My first one leaks all over where the connection is. Horrible, miss my old tank (lost on trip). If you look on amaz.. reviews you will see a lot of people have this issue. Have a full tank so will order another and hope it works, then bring it back.
I bought 2 of these tanks in the past 6 months. The gas gauges did not work right and the second one also leaked from under the gas cap and gas gauge. Learned my lesson on this brand.
