This extension cord is small, yet gets the job done. This extension cord is long, doesn't get kinked up, and is small enough to fit just about anywhere. There are two mounting spots in the back, which come in handy if you want to mount it. The only drawback that I didn't like was the lack of a on/off switch, otherwise it is perfect for a few things that need to stay plugged in.
The Monster Surge Protector is a convenient and safe way to power 6 devices simultaneously. The cord is a 6 foot nylon braided extension cord. It is flexible to the point that it is quite easy to put this in an inconspicuous spot. We are currently using it to power the multiple devices we have on our entertainment center and everything fits nicely and it easily slips under the edge of the stand to stay out of view. This is a grounded outlet surge protector so if there are blips in your power the devices plugged in will remain safe. There is an LED light that shows that the surge protection feature is operating correctly. There is also an on/off switch should you want to reset your devices all at once. There is a Lifetime Warranty with this product as well as a $50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. Be sure to read the pamphlet because there are rules as to what would be covered should the product fail. The Joule rating is 1200 which apparently allows it to absorb a high amount of energy in order to protect the equipment that is plugged in. The only complaint I would have about this is the same complaint I have with most other surge protectors and that is the spacing of the outlets. There are certain devices that have larger plugs so that could conceivably take up 2 outlet spaces because the box covers the next one in line. I am used to that because all the ones I have had have been the same way. It would be good if there could be at least one that was a little further away from the other 5 outlets. Overall this is a fine surge protector and I feel confident having my entertainment devices plugged into it.
This is a compact surge protector. The best part is the 6 ft cord. The outlets are a little too narrow if you use anything other than a standard plug size. The on/off switch is a nice touch with the LED light letting you know it is on. It also has one of those slightly angled plug to go in your wall outlet. I was hoping the plugs would be a little further apart, but they are not. All in all, quality product.
This is a great little surge protector. It has three grounded outlets allowing for three devices to be powered and protected simultaneously. The extension cord is made of braided nylon. It is very thick and will not kink or tangle. The six foot length of the extension cord comes in handy when you're a little further away from an outlet. The 300J rating offers adequate surge protection to ensure your sensitive (and expensive) electronic devices don't get fried. The three outlets are situated vertically. Like with any surge protector, you have to think ahead and ensure the outlet orientation is compatible with the plugs you intend to use. Overall this is a well built and handy surge protector.
It's important that it be noted the difference between a Power Strip and a Surge Protector. A Power Strip is just an extension of outlets. This product, which is a Surge Protector is just that. It protects your devices from an accidental electrical surge, while offering six more outlets to be protected. This Surge Protector is lightweight, but really packs a punch in the protection it offers. It's well made. The power light is a dull red, instead of those annoyingly blaring blue or green lights. The power cord is ridiculously thick and braided, not to mention that it is a six foot cord. Unlike the one to three foot cords that are usually standard, the overall quality is quite impressive!
This is a very nice surge strip from a quality company. I like the braided design of the cord giving it more durability and strength. There is a red monster light that turns on to indicate that the strip is powered on and ready for use. I would definitely recommend this strip to anyone looking for a durable strip with extra surge protection.
We recently moved and decided to get rid of some older surge protectors in the process. When I saw this one, I knew we had to have it. I love the fact that that base is thicker, meaning the plug ports are side by side, instead of in one row. This keeps the unit upright when there are lots of plugs attached. With the skinnier units, the base can turn sideways on the floor, making them more difficult to access, and that is a huge pet peeve of mine. My husband has been using this on his side of the bed to plug in his lamp, alarm clock, phone, and other electronic devices. The purpose is being served well and we feel protected from any power surges. I am seriously considering getting more of these for around the house. I can highly recommend giving this Monster Surge Protector a try.
This cord is unlike the typical, multi outlet power strip as it is 6' long so you are able to exttend it to another area rather than it being stationary at the wall socket. Besides the accommodating length it accepts up to 3 devices which is great because we all have so much electronics that this cord s so very needed. The braided cord appears to add strength to the functioning and longevity of this cord.
We needed a new surge protector for our TV area, and this Monster surge protector fit the bill. It has 8 grounded outlets and a 6 ft cord which is just what we needed. The housing on the protector seems to be cheaply made compared to other ones we purchased in the past. However this shouldn't be a problems as we won't be plugging and unplugging. There are hanging holes in the back which we use to put the protector on the wall. The on switch lights up when on as well as an indicator light in the front. Overall, it's a great surge protector for the short time we've used it.
This surge protector was received with great excitement and high expectations. The cord has extra nylon braiding, which adds extra protections. There is also an indicator light that tells that the item is working properly. The package says that the device has a 2000 joule rating, so it SHOULD be able to handle high amounts of energy. However, this product was all show and absolutely no action. This device forbid to allow my printer or laptop to work, even with them being the only thing plugged in. It would allow the use of other devices and my TV. Also, it was a bit hard to get some devices to plug in and there were moments in which I worried the plugs on the devices would break if I forced it. This item was a huge disappointment. I liked the features this item has, but, if it doesn't work, what is the point? I would NOT recommend this product to anyone!!!!
