I brought this for my daughter for her 5th birthday and she LOVES it! It's loud, she can use both microphones and have a great time with it. The only thing, is if you don;t have a official karaoke cd, the lyrics won't play and I'm not sure about a camera, because I haven't seen one come on yet. Overall, she loves it!

We bought this Karaoke machine for our 9 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. The Monster High theme makes it even more attractive to her.
Although I have figured out this machine, it did take me a little while to get it to work good. I have figured out that I must reset some of the settings each time I use it. Within one minute of opening the box, I was singing along. A couple of minutes after that, I put my phone in the phone holder on the side and was singing along to my favorite tunes! Handy mic holder on the other side, easy access top loading CD, and colorful Monster High decoration. Even the mic had the Monster High logo! We had a blast singing along. This is a cool looking karaoke machine with vibrant, bright colors and sleek design. It has handles on both sides and is very lightweight making it easy to move it wherever you want to use it. The microphone was heavier than I expected it to be yet not bulky or cumbersome. In my opinion, it feels like what I imagine a real, musician's microphone would feel like!?!? I like that it has a mic holder on one side so the microphone doesn't have to lay messily on the floor or on top of the unit. On the other side is a plastic holder for a cell phone. My iPhone 6s does fit but only if I take it out of the protective case. If I could improve this unit, I'd make the cell phone holder adjustable to accommodate larger sized cell phones. The bad news about this karaoke machine is that it doesn't come with any karaoke music. I expected there to be at a sample CD with at least one karaoke song on it to test out the device yet there was nothing! Yes I could sing along to songs I played using my iPhone and sing along to music using my own CDs yet the words did not display on the screen which was hugely disappointing. There was no information in the owners manual regarding how I could obtain karaoke CDs or how I could program the unit to pull the lyrics off my iPhone or CDs (which may or may not be a possibility). The manual doesn't even explain what a CD or CD + G karaoke machine is – I had to Google it to figure it out! The good news about not having a karaoke CD is that I learned that this machine in itself serves as a decent music player! While using this machine to play music through CDs or a mobile device, it plays music clearly and loudly plus there's the option of connecting it to speakers (if you have the old fashion, wire-style speakers). I did notice a slight buzzing sound in the background when a CDs was not being played and at times there is a static like appearance on the screen when lyrics aren't displayed, neither of these distracting enough to be a problem. Eventually I did get my hands on a few karaoke CDs.... that's when I really started having fun with this unit! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this for my daughters as a gift. The only way to have lyrics show up on screen is with CD&G. In today's era not too many of us own them anymore. When plugging into ipad it operates as a speaker that you can sing with. If there was an app for the product it would be much better. I returned the product as very expensive for limited uses.

this item was smashed then placed in the shipping box that way and shipped anyway. my grand daughter missed out on opening her christmas present because of someone who didn't care enough about a childs excitement open a gift from santa. because of this I doubt i will ever shop at walmart again.
There is a special CDs you have to buy for this product. We never could figure how to get the words of the songs on the screen and I think it has to do with the special CDs. If you play a CD in the player and try to fastforward or backup it drags off and on. Actually quite a bit. Will return the item.
