Our son received this as a a gift and he loves it. It is so cute. The pizza comes out exactly as shown on the box, and it holds together well. The key is to pack the dough tightly into the molds... if this is done, it will come out as shown. The pizza box cut the pizza perfectly, and my son was thrilled. Our youngest son has the Moon Dough Barnyard and my daughter has the Moon Sand Bake Shop... all three sets are adorable. I can tell these will hold their interest for a long time. They played with them for several hours yesterday, and are still excited about it. Also, quick cleanup as it doesn't stick to anything.
my kid loves to play with moon dough. even i like to mess around with. moon dough is a lot cleaner than moon sand. thats why i like moon dough a lot better than moon sand.
I have purchased other moon dough sets, but our family loves moon dough! Some have said that moon dough is flaky and messy, but it is wonderful when used with the molds! Any dough that is left on the table can be swept with your hand into a zip-lock baggy, larger pieces can be picked up from the floor (without grabbing hair and debris) and the remains lift right up with a regular vacuum cleaner. The molded dough comes out very detailed and fun. The shapes are very soft, almost like a plush toy! I do not believe the moon dough is intended for free-molding. I think it should be used with the different kits--or I believe jello molds would work. The Barnyard and puppy kits are just magnificent, and I plan to purchase the other sets in the near future. The kits are also fairly easy to use, my 3 year old (She just turned 3 two months ago) can use it very efficiently, with minimal help from mom. Very easy to clean, very fun for the child, unique designs, and imaginative play after! Love, love, love these products!
We like the moon dough but it is VERY messy!!!
The dough is easy to mold and clean up. But the packaging is deceiving. You can't make the molds like it shows on the box. My 3 year old has fun with it. But you can't make the molds you see on the box with the two different colors. The play-doh sets are much better.
