I just bought this drone and so far I love it! It is super easy to fly and comes with a FPV video screen on the controller. The 720P camera lets you see the world from a new perspective and with the attached memory card I can record my flights and share them with my friends and family. One caveat you can see the props in the video, but it is not that distracting. The flight times are between 5-7 minutes, but since I mostly fly this with my 3 year old, it perfectly matches her attention span! It is so easy to fly, I have even let her take the controls. It has an auto take off and landing function that is by far my favorite feature. Push a button and on its own the drone will rise and hover at 3 ft waiting for you to take control. The the landing button and the drone will hover then slowly and gently set itself down. If you fly out of range, or the controller loses power, the drone will automatically land itself. You will not find a drone packed with more features for such a cheap price. This drone is worth every penny I paid and then some!!!
First time playing with this Drone, you will feel confident on how easy it's to move it around. It's a light drone so with anything more than 5 mph+ it will starts to drift. One afternoon playing with it around my house, there was barely any winds and it was perfectly hovering in a spot. The controller is well lay out and easy to learn. For those of you who never fly drone before, you should watch some video on YouTube and get the basic principle of pitch, yaw, roll -- and then play with something like this but take it easy in an open field. Also, find a day where it isn't so windy, which will greatly help you out. This is good for beginner who really get confused with orientation, but I found it's much better to just learn the orientation and control your quad then using it in this mode. I myself cannot fly in headless mode properly. One thing you do want to remember is to start video recording prior to taking off so you don't have to worry about messing with it while you're flying. I love it, but there are a few things that could improve. 5 Stars = Strongly recommended product. Hardly any flaws to the product and it's functions. *If my opinion on this product changes while in use, I will update my review to reflect such changes.
This is a very cool well made drone. Very fun to fly and durable. There is a learning curve to flying drones, and I guess I'm on the lower part of the spectrum because my drone has taken a beating. Despite that, the drone is fine.. partially due to the bumpers MOTA gives you and the additional wings given. Not to mention, its just downright an awesome looking drone! The battery life seems to be a bit short but overall a fantastic product!
I got this drone as my first full size drone - I've flown several smaller mini/micro drones previously. In the box included a USB charger for the battery, fenders for the rotors, a small screw driver/screws, a 8gb micro SD card, and a USB micro SD card reader. As most people who thinking about purchasing a more pricey drone, I was worried about wrecking the craft and being out the $. Fortunately, the Mota Pro Live-5000 puts most of these concerns at bay with the one touch takeoff and landing features. I was skeptical at first, but after using the craft this skepticism has gone away. Takeoff and landing is a breeze. I even let my kids use it in an open field without worry. Once in the air, controls are accurate assuming you follow the calibration procedure. The unit itself was well balanced in the air and never seems to be unstable with the 6 motors going simultaneously. The battery charged up initially in an hour or so and I got about 5 minutes of flight time before needing to recharge. The battery detaches from the unit and is charged using the USB adapter. The battery compartment is very small - just barely bigger than the battery - so I had some trouble getting the battery to fit in with the 2 cables (charger cable and connector cable). Controls are very straight forward and the FPV view is just icing on the cake. The FPV camera quality seems good, but not great. I wasn't expecting much since the camera itself is very compact. The FPV viewer is a separate display integrated into the remove - it takes 4 AAA batteries by itself and can be powered on/off independent from the main control. I prefer to fly by looking up and not rely upon the FPV screen. Overall, I think this unit will do well for most novice users wanting to get into the drone game. It's not difficult to setup, has decent run time, and protects the owner with the simplicity of use. Pros: - 1 button push take off/landing for novice users. - Controls are sensitive and accurate. - FPV screen integrated into the remote control or mobile application option. - Comfortable to hold remote. Cons: - Fender brackets ship detached. Screws to attach are very tiny. I lost 2 in my carpet. - Battery must be completely removed to charge. - Battery is very tight in the compartment. Wires for charging/power are crammed in there and I'm concerned they will snap off over time after being inserted/removed. - Landing doesn't immediately shut off the motors, so it can hover/slide across the ground a bit until shut off occurs.
The Mota Pro Live-5000 FPV Drone One Touch is an exceptional drone for the price. Everything about the products screams exceptional build quality. The product arrive as describe , there were tons of extra propellers and wings which was quite durable. The product arrive within 5 business days which is outstanding. Everything was pack neatly and very pleasing to the eye. However from testing it for a week everything about the product says great design and an eye catcher. The only downside I see about this product is the battery life. I would recommend getting a couple of extra batteries. The flight time varies from 5-10 minutes. I would recommend extra batteries. Only give 3 stars base on battery other then that great product 100%
