Does the job....
The "S" at the end of the part number means it has a silicone anti-drainback valve. This helps the filter keep the oil from draining back into the engine and hopefully avoids dry starts. I'm using the FL400 S on my V-6 F150, a 1MZ-FE V-6 Camry and sometimes on a 2.2 5sfe 4 cylinder Camry. For a regular oil change interval these are great filters! And at a great price!
I always trust the OEM product. May not be the best on the market, but meets all that is require by the manufacture. Got this at a great price. Much better than auto parts store. Convenient pick up at Walmart.
Works good just check filter for damage, dents, and pin size holes. Got couple that are damage.
The filter was dented and box was beat up. I put it on but have to go get a new one not worth risking an engine over 4 bucks.
I always purchase the motorcraft FL 400s oil filter for my truck. it's only $3 in change at Walmart. advanced Auto it is $10 but the difference now has changed the filter is not even the same shape and instead of a printed label it's a sticker. I compared the old filter to the Walmart motorcraft oil filter and it don't even come close. I believe these are counterfeit motorcraft knockoffs at Walmart not always but this just recently happened. around February 12th 2021. Also the crimp design I've been watching it has a very slow leak. and of comparison. motorcraft FL400s looks just like a cheap super tech white filter with a motorcraft sticker on it. also genuine motorcraft oil filters usually have the red orange internal seals. where the Walmart version of motorcraft oil filters does not even resemble genuine motorcraft oil filters. I'm going to post pictures for comparison. the one installed is obviously from Walmart.
