This Motorola Portable Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is very convenient to have especially I have two little ones that plays in their room while I'm cooking and cleaning up in the kitchen, I can keep my eyes on my girls. The quality of the image on the baby monitor is perfect. When my husband turn on the lights in the girls room, the image on the baby monitor is in color, but once the light gets turn off, the image on the monitor becomes black and white color. During daylight with the light off, I thought it would have been in color, but instead it stays black and white. It would have been nice if it were to capture color during daylight with the light off in the room. I'm okay with it though, I love it! It's still an awesome product. I have never own one before, so I am impressed with the Motorola Portable Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor. The battery life drain fast when it's not charging, but I have the charger wire plug into the monitor whenever I need to use it. The monitor is a touch screen and I love how the camera is able to move left, right, up, and down in 180 degree position. It came with a leg grip that I can attached it to the camera and use the leg grip to wrap around the curtain rod. It came with a small booklet on how to use the Motorola Portable Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor. I love how it has Wi-Fi connectivity. My Wi-Fi is probably weak in my house, since I have many devices in my home connected to the Wi-Fi as well, because I noticed that when I tapped the left arrow on the monitor to move the camera left, it was slow, plus the Wi-Fi on the monitor shows that it had a weak signal. This monitor allows musical sound to play from the camera. It's super easy to get it working and it's good quality. I definitely recommend this Motorola Portable Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor to new parents, and parents with young kids. It is very handy to have. I opened the box and was excited to see this awesome new toy. I've played around with the app a little bit and I love the features. I love you can play lullabys and check on the app live feed and go back to see previous video. I have grandbabies and since our bedroom is downstairs we have a pack n play for the babies to sleep in during the day. Our main use for it tho is so we can keep an eye on family members in our room because some like to snoop and steal. If my husband and I are in town I can always go to the app and have it on live feed or go through previous video. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't record but for like 30-45 seconds. We had an incident going on right outside our bedroom door that the video picks up and I went back to that day to see what it all caught and it didn't record the part I was hoping for - the most damning evidence. It would be nice if it recorded everything until movement or sound stopped. Although I haven't had a chance to really play with it and see what all it can do I'm loving it. I'm not crazy about the camera mount tho, maybe it's because it's different and I'm not too sure how to use it. I don't need it but if I ever did I'm sure I will figure it out. It is on the expensive side but I'd recommend it. It's all set up using wi-fi and you can turn the monitor off without it affecting the camera recording. I have been using the baby monitor for a couple of weeks now and love it. I like that I can monitor the room that I want with my cell phone. I can be outside working in the yard or in the evening relaxing with my husband and be able to watch the baby without having to keep getting up and running into the room. It's handy while I'm cooking and working from home in our office. I don't have to keep getting up every time I hear a noise coming from the room....just check my phone. The monitor is large and colors are good. I also like that it monitors the room for temperatures, humidity, noise levels, etc. It does only work when their is wifi present, but pretty well everyone has wifi so that's not a problem and if you travel with it, most place have wifi. You can tilt and zoom the camera and also have two way communication with the device. All in all it's a great baby monitor and sure helps with having to keep getting up and running into the baby's room all the time (especially if you have a two story house). This Motorola Baby Monitor is a very nice and affordable baby monitor that can also be used as an indoor security camera. It's very easy to use. It comes with a camera,monitor and other accessories to use with it. Once its turned on,you can follow the instructions to set it up on your wifi connection. I installed the hubble app I found in the Apple App Store for my iPhone,I signed up so I can check and see what my baby is doing in her room using my phone app. The video and sound is clear and a durable product. I have been using the Motorola Smart Nursery 7 for about two weeks. I am very impressed with the video quality it provides. The camera is small and unobtrusive. I have used this in conjunction with the Hubble for Motorola App to check in on the sitter while we are away. Being able to view what is going on in the house from a remote location was fabulous. The video quality is superb. The two-way microphone/speaker functions as designed. That being said, the app does not always function properly. I found that logging out of all open apps and re-logging into the Hubble app helped. A 7" monitor is provided & functions perfectly each time. It includes a small stand; convenient for setting on my bedside stand to monitor the nursery at night. One is able to scan the room remotely with the camera from either the provided monitor or the app on a phone. I found that the motion monitor was a little too sensitive. With Great Danes in the house it was going off constantly; alerting me to motion detection at the camera location. For a household without pets, it would probably be an added bonus. For us, it was just a nuisance. I do have to comment on the set-up. This is where the Smart Nursery 7 lost one star. Set-up instructions were almost non-existent. There is a quick set up guide; nothing else. The LED on the camera did not blink like the instructions indicated it would. For problems setting up your camera, the instructions just tell you to read the quick set-up guide. Luckily, setup was fairly intuitive, and although the instructions are incorrect the camera paired to the monitor without further issue. I highly recommend Motorola fine tune their instruction manual. The temperature gauge is never accurate; however not a deal breaker. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product. It gives an added sense of security I've never had before. I am considering purchasing a second camera for the living room. I really love this product in conjunction with the Hubble app! First purchase: Scratches and finger prints on the unit. Exchanged it and waited for it to come in again. Second one: Scratches, tablet would not function and cameras kept dropping the signal. Going to return it all. Garbage!!!
This video monitoring system is not good at all. I am very disappointed because I really wanted to like this system with all the cool features like big screen, moving the camera by pressing a button on the monitor, play 5 different melodies, take picture and video, talkback to baby all through the monitor; temperature, humidity level, noise level displayed on monitor. It was easy to set up the system, however I could not get a steady live stream of my baby. The camera would disconnect from the monitor and the monitor would start beeping and it would be hard to reconnect the camera. Another issue is that the system must be connected to wifi to work. Even with a great wifi connection this camera system simply did not work, very disappointed especially with the price tag this system carries I would expect perfect connection. I was never able to just view my baby, the monitor screen was always stuck on loading. I would not recommend this to anyone.
