I started using Coppertone Sport years ago and never use anything else. Goes on dry and grease-less, it's waterproof and it lasts all day. I spend 5+ hours on the beach almost every day of summer. I'm in and out of the water and playing in the sand with the kids. With my Coppertone Sport on, I never even think about getting sunburned. I just wish I could get it in a larger container!
My husband and I live on a boat and sail in the tropics a lot, so we go through a lot of sunscreen. We've tried a number of brands and this is hands-down our favorite. It protects us, yet it's not too thick and gooey. The number 30 works the best for us. The number 50 is too heavy and makes us hot and sweaty.
I have used SPF 30 for about 15 years now on my head since i shave it bald every day. I'm actively running, or on the football field coaching and have never burned my head when i use it. The times i forget to use, my head turns into a tomato.
This cream is absorbed by a skin very quickly and does not leave any traces - the skin does not look oily. Also it is rather light and soft cream like a lotion so I do not feel it on my skin as opposed to other sunscreens, for example, Neutrogena which is too dense and heavy or oily. Sometimes I used this cream for my face even and it does not irritate my eyes, although they are very sensitive usually
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just purchased three bottles of Coppertone Sport SPF30 on 17 Jan 2020. Just noticed that one of the bottle shows CV00SHU EX07/2019 other two bottle says CV014M6 EX08/2020. Is this means one bottle has expired?
This has been the only sunscreen I trust for years! I've found I don't need to reapply it, the spray is just as good as the cream, and it doesn't lose effectiveness after expiring. HOWEVER. I'm a bit worried about the new formula. The nasty ugly new bottle design inspired me to take a closer look, and I noticed a few differences in the ingredients list between my newest and my older bottle of the cream. I decided to do a test today (that dermatologists would NOT approve of) and immediately noticed a difference in the new stuff, different texture, goes on different, I think it even smells different.
Used this for years-SPF 15. All of sudden it is not creamy and smooth anymore. It kind of goes on like cottage cheese and chunky. It falls off your hand or skin if you don't try to smooth it quickly. Although it still works great and I go in the ocean and do not have to re-apply. One of my only choices for sunscreen since I am allergic to aloe. So if Coppertone can make this smooth and silky again I would be happier!
Been using Copper tone Sport spa 50 for years with great success but now that they have changed the formula it causes a rash in the crease of my arms at the elbow and I can no longer use. Quite a disappointment ! ! Wish they would have left things alone .
i just started working at a job that has me outside so i went deciding to buy some good sunscreen. my dad recommended coppertone since its been around since he was younger. so i bought coppertone sport spf 70. i use it the first day and i went to work came home slightly red.. o im thinking 'okay maybe im sunburned' use it the next day and im inside cleaning the building all day. i noticed red bumps along my face and arms. 'im thinking, okay maybe its a sunburn' i use it the third day and on that day i seen red bumps all over my arms and face and neck where i had the sunscreen. 'okay this isent a sunburn' so i wanted to test somthing out.. i put it on my upper arm where no sun or anything would touch.. and the next day.. red bumps and my face had gotten worse. finally read online from their warning label that its a rash caused by the product. though rare i do have it along my face (really bad) neck and arms. wont be buying this product again.
I had bought the coppertone sport SPF 50 and applied it to my daughter's face, arms, neck, ears and legs before we spent the day outside and the next morning every where I had applied the sunscreen was broke out her poor little cheeks was so red and itchy along with everywhere else I had applied it I definitely wont be buying this product again!
