My 5 year old absolutely LOVES this set and plays with it every day. It's the only one I'm not allowed to clean up and stays out on the shelf. I love that they look just like legos and she can mix her sets. The price is great too! I will definitely be buying more Mega Bloks! The only thing that might bother people is that all of the pieces are mixed up in the bags. We don't mind since my daughter likes to sort the pieces into piles by color anyway. The steps are easy to follow with extra pieces available. My daughter's friends enjoy playing with this set a lot as well so we purchased another for a friend and this gift was her favorite too!
I got this set for my daughter, not really sure what to expect since we have always bought Legos. It was great! Good quality and all the pieces fit snugly and accurately. The only complaint I have is that all the pieces are bagged randomly or possibly by size. If you've bought Legos before you know that the pieces are bagged together in either consecutive steps or if there are maybe two separate projects in one set they're grouped that way, but we had to open all five or six bags at once and gather pieces from different bags for each step. It was weird and I started to wonder if pieces would be missing or not fit, but we got it all put together just fine, just took a little more attention and time. It's good to know that once this eventually gets taken apart and mixed with my daughters' Friends Legos, these will mix with those just fine. They're much more affordable too, which is awesome!
