I bought these for use with my small son while dirt bike riding. our motocross bikes are too loud for the voice activation feature, as it keeps the channel open. I tried a of the settings, but the feature was too sensative (bikes were too loud). The push to talk button that mounts on the handle bars works great. if you dump the dirk bike, it just unplugs itself, which is good. Now we can stay in touch while trail riding, etc. helmet mic and speakers work great.

I bought this product for snowmachining. I found quickly that you need to place it you inside pocket and switch to the high power setting. then you will see the batterys last about 3 hours when its cold. One great thing is evan if the radio dies your music still comes through. The quality of the headphones are lower than standard head phones for music, but thats not really a issue . Noted when the batterys are low or cold you can not communicate with your other radios as it will cut out so bad they become useless. Over all i like the setup get some good baterys

When compared to other $300.00+ units, this kit is a great value. Excellent range, compact size with aux. input and a well designed headset makes this a good choice for anyone looking for a bike-to-bike unit or a rider/passenger intercom. Time will tell as to the quality of manufacturing, however no problems after multiple uses. If you are looking into a chatter-box or other high end bike radio, it would be a good idea to look into this unit first unless you enjoy paying too much for things!

My wife rides her own bike. These are great for back and forth communication. The VOX feature is a little sensitive for the wind noise associated with riding but we use the PTT feature instead which works flawlessly. The only drawback I can see is the claim of a 7 mile range is a bit exaggerated, maybe in IDEAL conditions, realistically it has a 1/2 to 1 mile range.

Cheap radio

After reading all of the so so reviews, I was cheap and decided to buy this over a more expensive intercom system. Installation was easy and straight forward. Headsets went into the helmets great. The wife and I played around with them in the house and seemed to work really well at the lower volume levels. Then we tried them out on our way to Bike Week. At speeds above 45mph we could barely hear each other. The volume is just not there. The AUX in on mine didn't seem to want to work. We had trouble determining where to place the PTT button. Seems that where it would be easy to use, it got in the way of things like the clutch lever, etc. All in all, I can see where this may be an alright system to talk to you kid on their little dirt bike while in the backyard or something like that. But for real motorcycle use, it just comes up short. Now if the speakers could have been replaced with noise reducing ear buds like I listen to my XM through, I really think this system could be made to work great.

it is very misleading ,it doesn't reach 7 miles an if you talk bike to bike doesn't reach but maybe 1/2 mile at most.it doesn't have noise cancelling as says, the battires only last 1hr to 2hrs at most an we get the best batteries.Cuts out an in even riding the same bike ,cant hear each other at all around electric wires ,the headsets are a joke they want stay in place their not stiff to hold where you put them, they want stay stuck on helmets as said.you will need to buy 2nd headset beter then these .TO many wires. Its best to get your own set do not share radio .An always ride close by to be able to talk if you can even understand rideing with the wind ,only works with full face an open face with shield ,sometimes ! I can go on an on
