My husband said the directions were good, all the pilot holes lined up and he enjoyed putting it together.
This hall tree was the perfect one for us. It is just over 5 feet high and I think our kids will reach their coats on it just fine. I'm also using it as their toy chest so our front room isn't littered with toys! The lid of the chest closes softly and stays open with the springs provided very nicely. But, plan on 2 people to assemble this piece. Also, someone with some strength. My husband had to get a small hand saw to help one of the wooden pegs fit into one of the pre-made holes... also I HIGHLY suggest skipping STEP 5, and doing it LAST. Step 5 is screwing in the chest's floor or inner base, which you can't see until you open the lid. Adding this piece so early on made another piece crack. We learned that the whole unit needs to shift with each piece as it is assembled (naturally) and the chest's floor piece kept that from being able to happen - thus the crack. Also, be careful not to tighten screws and such too tight or their may be more cracks. Overall, very nice piece for the price and very comparable price to others on the market. It beautiful and well worth the time to assemble!
The unit is all that we expected for the price and perfect size. Kind of trying the put together but my wife and made it a fun project. The only complain I have is the color. The description indicated the it was white but when we got the unit the color was an off white (Naples white). We wanted the bright white that was shown on the website.
We have this setup in our entrance and it looks very nice. The only issue I have is that the lid for the storage doesn't quite line up properly, so when it closes it rubs on the one side and the other side shows a gap. Otherwise I'm happy with this purchase.
Putting this together was pretty easy except for the the springs for the bench which were extremely difficult to deal with. Some of the predrilled holes didn't line up but other than that it went together pretty easily even with a toddler and baby ""trying to help"". It looks really great and we can't wait to get some good use out of it. I did think it would be a bit taller but it's still a good height. It does wobble slightly but I think this is due to the plastic spacers on the bottom of the legs.
Well packaged so free of damage. Assemble took 4 hours but clear directions. Side pieces require two people to line up all of the connectors. Nice finish. The unit would be nicer if higher and supplied with a seat cushion. Overall it is a nice addition to our small bedroom.
The product itself was good. It assembled fairly easily and seems quite sturdy.I assume during shipping some minor damage was done to the product which is largely unnoticeable and does not seem to affect stability for the most part. If it had been shipped properly I WOULD DEFINATELY RECCOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
Design wise the tree with bench looks very nice but this was a huge pain to assemble. The pre-drilled holes were in the wrong places and the top portion of the hall tree was bowed so you couldn't slide the storage bench cover under correctly without a lot of help. Thankfully my dad was there while I was assembling because he had to drill new holes and come up with a few improv ideas just to get it together.
I purchased this product and thought it was white when actually it is an off white, second the wood for the back was split open, so we had to glue that together to actually make it work. Third the pieces didn't align well at all, this picture looks a lot better on line then in person. Not very happy with product.
there were lots of flaws it was too expensive. I really wanted to return it but my husband talk me into keeping it because he had it all the way assembled until we got to the very last piece which we found the screws did not even fit properly to attach it I've had it in my home for over a week and it is still not completely assembled.
