I liked the cleanser. I've used the brand before. But when my daughter was visiting she noticed my cleanser and told me not to use it because it was a scrub cleaner. I have been treated many times for skin cancer on my face. In fact I have a bandage on my nose now because I had Mohs surgery on my nose 10 days ago. She replaced it with an extra gentle cleanser of the same Neutregenia brand. Thank you for asking. Frances Kissinger
To me, Neutrogena has always had products that dry my skin out. But they also clean my face, so I have fewer pimples and blackheads. Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub is oil free. I really enjoy the exfoliators that are within the cleaner. They do make my skin smoother. And it has a good smell. You don't need to use very much for each cleaning. A little bit goes a long way. When I did use too much, I was rinsing my face for awhile trying to get it to rinse off. Just use a little, and it's perfect. This will dry out your face, so I have only been using every other night. And each morning I use a face moisturizing cream.
I currently use this affordable mild cleanser in my daily skincare routine. I love the texture and function of the packaging. I do wish, to some degree, the product was more sustainable. This product is not recyclable.

The rich, foaming lather rinses clean and is non-comedogenic. I found this product to be gentle to my face and my face did not feel dried out as with other scrubs. It was very gentle and my face felt good while being washed. I recommend this product not only for people with problem skin as I have but for people who want to prevent problem with their skin. I compared this product with two other face scrubs. One of the other scrubs made my face feel very dry. The other scrub didn't dry out my face but it didn't leave my face feeling as refreshed as Deep Clean. There was a difference in the price but not much difference. Deep Clean is a better deal in my opinion.
I use many beauty products from drug store to very high end brands. Over all Neutrogena is my to go face cleaner. I have used this product before however, just the daily face wash. I had the opportunity to try their Deep Clean gentle Scub 4.2 fl oz through the Spark Review Program and I am so pleased to find the real results! This product don't just clean your face and neck it also Exfoliates our skin from the inside out. I use this product without makeup and while removing makeup, normally I use my Mia3 chargeable brush heads with a regular face wash, I don't recommend using anything other than cold to luke warm water when applying this product. Some people is able to use this product both AM and PM through their daily routine. I only use it at night before bed along with a good moisturizer. I find the best results as follows below, this product is great for all skin types and wonderful for oily skin as it is oil free. Has a pleasant citrus smell, not over whelming. (Keep away from the eye area). Wet face with luke warm water, apply about three pea sizes of the product to each cheek, forehead and neck area, massage genitally into the skin in a upward motion. You will feel a sand feel in the product, this is what is exfoliating your skin taking away any dead skin, deep inside of pores with continued use our pores get smaller. I personally rinse this product off after genitally rubbing in a circle motion with my hands using cold water, I find using cold water helps even more opening my pores then using a face serum and moisturizer of your choice after using this product. By far this product does what it claims more so than many high end brands I have used. This product may leave a slight redness to your face at first if you've never used a exfoliates however, that will go away very quickly, this is normal. With continued use within a week you will see a remarkable difference in your skin texture and it feels baby soft after just one use. The Nutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub is a great exfoliator. This is an oil free product, which is important for many skin types and oil free is often difficult to find. This beta hydroxy formula cleans deep down into pores removing dirts and oils and leaves your skin feeling super soft, smooth, and clean. The gentle exfoliators remove dull, dead surface skin. It has a foaming creamy lather that easily rinses clean leaving your skin feeling softer, smoother, and refreshed. It is so gentle and easy on your skin that it can be used daily. It comes in a 4.2 fluid ounce squirt bottle and should last awhile as a little goes a long way. I highly recommend this product.
I have rosacea and so my aging skin is very sensitive. I am very protective about putting products on my face that are too harsh for my skin. Other products in the past have caused redness, breakouts, and made my rosacea flare up. As I applied the Neutrogena onto my hand, I could see the tiny, little micro beads. As I massaged it on my face, almost instantly I felt a tingling feeling of coolness, like that of a menthol feeling. The scrub has such a cooling effect during and after using. It was so refreshing. I added just a bit of water and began gently exfoliating my skin. It's so gentle, I didn't feel like I was scrubbing my face off. After rinsing it off, my skin still had that cool tingly feeling. In the mirror I could see my skin looked so refreshed. No redness at all. My face just felt so cool and clean. I have been using this product everyday now. It is mild enough for everyday use, and has become part of my skin regime. There has been no reactions to my face at all. No breakouts and my pores are so clean. My rosacea hasn't flared up, and that's a big deal to me. This Neutrogena Deep Clean Scrub is a blessing to me! I can use it without the fear of flares and breakouts to my skin, yet it makes my skin feel so soft and clean. This is a fabulous product!
I have been using this face wash for years. It's the best combination of a gentle cleanser with just a little bit of exfoliating beads to remove dry skin. I have very dry acne prone skin, and this cleanser has been the absolute best for me for years!
I generally use St. Ives Apricot facial scrub but my daughter can't use it because it contains crushed nut shells and unfortunately most facial scrubs that I looked at contained some variation of nut shells which she is allergic to. This one doesn't. I got it for my daughter with the hopes that if she liked it she would continue to use it. Personally, I loved it. It smelled like oranges to me and it wasn't all gritty like the one I usually use, but it left my face clean and feeling refreshed. My daughter used it a few times but she isn't into the whole facial scrub thing, but since the tube is half gone and I've only used it twice. I'm pretty sure she likes it too or else she wouldn't keep using it. This is a good product for those people who can't use the other brands because of allergies of some kind or another. I like that the scent isn't strong or overwhelming. It's the quality I expect from Neutrogena.
Very gentle cleanser, perfect for dry skin! Leaves my skin feeling hydrated, moisturized, and cleansed. Low fragrance but I thought it was a pleasant smell. Great product for the price
