I am allergenic to the chemicals is most sunscreens. My eyes swell and my neck begins to itch and turn red. My dermatologist recommended Neutrogena Healthy Defense years ago and it is the only sunscreen I have used on my face ever since.
I got a sample of it from my dermatologist used it few times and noticed a big difference in my skin. It felt smoother and looks radiant. I was hooked that I ordered two other ones!!!!
Love this stuff. People of color need sunblock too and others I tried left this terrible white-ish gloss on my face. I'll never forget when a boyfriend asked why my face was turning white with another product. No problems with this, I have dry skin, it takes care of that with sunblock that does not leave a trace. It's the only facial lotion I use.
I had trouble finding this moisturizer in the stores and ended up using an alternative Neutragena product (oil-free and without helioplex) which was more liquid in comparison and left a residue on my face. I noticed also that it was not protecting my sun sensitive skin as much and started to get some sun damage again. So I went online and found this moisturizer again (worried it had been discontinued). After a couple of weeks, my skin has already repaired back to very smooth and I also don't see the residue around my hairline. I saw a previous review negative review. My conclusion is that it really depends on the individual's skin. For me this moisturizer provides the best protection for my skin. Backgound: I am in my fifeties and a year ago underwent an 8 week skin treatment using a topical cream to treat a pre-cancerous skin condition on my forehead which very successfully renewed my skin as well as repairing virgin skin around my temple from a soccer injury a few years ago. I had been using this cream both before and after to great effect based on my doctor's recommendation to use something like Neutragena. I guess I was lucky that I happened to stumble on this specific formula when I first started using. Given my experience of trying an alternative formula this year, I must give this specific formula the utmost praise and recommendation.
Please don't discontinue this product. It is excellent. It goes on smoothly and cleaning. It provides moisture as well and sun protection. It's not like those dreadful dry-touch sun screens. And it has no odor, which is great. If you stop making it, I'll have to switch to La Roche-Posay or another good brand.
I received a sample of this several years ago at the dermatology office. I was looking for an unscented high SPF moisturizer for the tops of my hands. It gives me the protection I am looking for without a scent. It is a bit expensive for the size though.
As a senior, I'm being treated for acne and needed a moisturizer for sensitive skin that also contained sunscreen. This product was the best but not available in the store. It's expensive but makes my skin feel protected.
I love this product and i find it leaves my skin so smooth but the only thing is it tends to leave a little white cast. This is really good product!!!
I have been using this product for many years. I love it! Please don't discontinue it! It contains SPF 30 and that is very important to me! My skin feels very clean after I apply it. Soft and moisturized and not greasy. I even put it on my hands with the SPF 30 to moisturize and protect them from the sun with the SPF 30.
When I opened the box first thing I noticed is the box looking like this and missing the bottom part. And it even looks like someone took the lid off to try a bit of sunscreen. REALLY!
