So much cheaper for the same item than most places and comes with Mario Kart 7 ready to play out of the box. Not the most expensive piece of equipment so it's a bit fragile. Wouldn't recommend for younger kids to be honest... it's a value purchase for an adult gamer, imho. I think a kid might trash it compared to how durable the 2DS model or older GBAs.
I got this for myself to share with my 8 year old grandson. I'm 60 years old. WE LOVE IT! It was easy for me to set it up and for him to play it, when I let him have his turn LOL.
For $99 s brand new 2DSXL a great deal! Plays all 3ds games and ds games. Plus i was able tobplsybsome old zelda games thst nintendo had on the e shop in this! Super fun, i am hapoy eith my outase for sure.
I have the purple and silver version (received months ago as a gift) while my boyfriend has this one. We love them! There's so many games to explore and we enjoy playing games together with local multi-player. It's a great addition to my consoles. The current price is also hard to pass up!
2DS XL on sale for only $99 and being discontinued, I couldn't help but get 2. One for now, one as a backup. The unit is sleek, and has a huge library of titles. What's not to love. Kids and adults a like love the little Nintendo handheld for almost a decade now!
So I got my New 2DS XL in the mail yesterday and I gotta say I'm pretty pleased. FedEx rushed it to my door faster than I thought they would, and the system box was in excellent condition. The New 2DS XL started up exactly like it should have and even had Mario Kart 7 installed like the package said. I DID have to update the systems firmware before transferring my NNID to it from my older New 3DS XL. It took 30 minutes to transfer over, and I was able to redownload Mario Kart 7 afterward. 11/10 will purchase for my sister
I purchased this because I have a regular 3ds which has not worked out too well for me. The 3D function is a bit too much for my eyes so I keep it off. I have big hands and it just feels awkward. The 2ds xl on the other hand is ideal. The button configuration, the positioning of the cameras and speakers as well as the much larger screens are a plus. Add to that a memory card, AC adapter and a pre-installed game, you got a winning combination. Those are the pros. The cons for me are the size of the stylus and the positioning of the POWER button. 3 times the unit shut down mid-game because my pinky hit the POWER button. To fix that I ordered ergonomic hand grips! Overall the 2DS XL is a winner in my book.
Actually really love the system. Finally replaced the 3dsxl my son lost in 2016. It's more lightweight and the screen seems more crisp even though it has no 3d slider. Then only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the sound quality, you can barely hear anything, headphones or computer speakers are a must. Wish they would have included bluetooth for connecting to soundbars. Shipping was great and on time though.
The system is so good but a downfall is that the system didnt even come with the preinstalled mario kart 7 game and i was really looking forward to playing that game, but other than that the system is great.
The box came in crushed on the corners because the item was sent in a envelope instead a box with proper package protection. The box itself was also not factory sealed as if they had removed it from the box or it was previously used/refurbished. I got the item from Discount Tech who told me that the item was new.
