Have only had this product for a few weeks but is appears to be excellent. Great range, clear signals, and low distortion.
The instructions that came with the radios are very limited, and there is nothing that tells about charging them. Such as if it best to charge them every night or wait until the battery is low or if the radios should be on or off while charging. The low battery signal only notifies you a couple minutes before the radio shuts itself off, so that is a little frustrating. In the online description it said that they could transmit to 16 miles, but on the package it says that is in the country. Here in the city it is only good around the house -- which is what we purchased it for, so that is okay, although we were disappointed. Also, the online description says it has 22 channels, which is true, but the instructions tell you that without an FCC license you can only use 8 of them. We like the call button feature, and that it beeps when you finish transmitting. As we work from home, the radios are saving us steps up and down the stairs when we just have a quick question to ask.
Very good item for my school
these were a good value and worked amazingly well, I bought them for kids aged 7 to ten years old, they loved them!
This was a gift , they work great and the good thing is they come with batteries and charger
These walkie talkies are amazing! My 6-year-old son and his best friend use these to play with outside. His friend lives a few doors down, and they can both be inside their own houses and talk to each other. They are easy to use, they reach a fairly long distance (they reach from the front of our moderately-sized neighborhood to the back), and the battery lasts a pretty long time. I love that they are re-chargable, and they have proven to be extremely durable. They've gone through the wash in pants pockets and have been left out in the pouring rain... and STILL work!! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced set of walkie talkies to give to a child.
These r ok for what I am using them for instead of buying my son a phone, they r convenient for when he is out playing. ...
We bought these to use on a 14 day transatlantic cruise and 10 day stay in London. Did not use after a few days try because the units to not have a power on indicator and turn off to power save. After several times trying to call each other with no response and finding the unit had powered off could not depend on them.
we had purchased the new radios and they were ok except that they didn't last. we bought these and the units cannot be locked, there is no fine tuning of stations, the readout is very small, and there is an awful noise after each release of the button that is very annoying. It cannot be turned off. All in all, the radio works but you have to wait a couple of seconds after you press the button or there will be nothing going thru.
These work fine if you would like to spend a billion dollars on batteries Ughhhhhh The rechargeable batteries take FOREVER to recharge, so you have to use regular batteries and they don't even last a hour, and LOTS of interference on EVERY Channel
