I own my own business. This will help me keep a lot of my accounting in order. 4 years I have kept it on a computer. I have had issues where the backup didn't work correctly or data had gotten erased. This way I will be able to maintain my information with or without technology. The pages have pre-cut holes for a three-ring binder. The front and back cover are a sturdy cardboard nothing outrageous or extreme with the color and design of the book. The first page was kind of hard to remove but all the pages after that we're very easy to take out of the book. There are 50 pages double-sided each page has 40 lines.
The traditional green is easy on the eyes. There is plenty of room to write and keep data organized. The pre-drilled holes make it easy to keep in a traditional 3 ring binder.
Norcom 50 Sheets 6 Column Columnar Ledger Pad, 11 x 8.5 notebook is great for keeping track of my balances as far as income and output as far as my and my spouse's income. It also helps me keep track of my son's SSI payments and expenditures. I keep it all in there and then I don't have to keep it in my head.
I am self-employed and work from home and use these columnar pads to keep track of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and my business check register. This pad has 50 double-sided sheets of lined paper which will last me at least a year. There is plenty of room for writing descriptions and for debit and credit amounts. I like that the book stays flat when I open it up to write in it and it's just as easy to write on the front of the pages as it is on the back of the page. I write with a blue ink pen and the writing does not bleed through to the other side. The pages are three-hole punched so you can rip them out and keep them in a notebook if you want to. I keep them in the pad and write the account name and dates on the front of the pad and keep everything together. The books are slim and easy to file and convenient to take with me to my accountant's office. These pads are a must for business accounting.
This columnar pad is a great budget keeper. What I love best about this pad is the extra columns and the spacing that I need to record all of my budgets and church tithing. It has an excellent lined heading on each page, which is perfect for identifying the name of each of my records. The spacing is just phenomenal! The columns are perfect for helping me maintain a good recording transaction. I love the sectional corner for initialing and dating, which helps me to remember that I have already reviewed the transaction page. Also, the columnar pad helps me to keep up with my weekly spending. I also love the pre-numbered rows on each line, which also makes it easier for me to record numerous transactions. The paper is very nice and so light weight, which makes it easier for me to flip through the pages without any hassle. Super! However, it does contain 50 sheets, but with the columnar printed on the back it actually gives me more sheets and spacing. I also love the three-hole punches, which is so convenient for placing the sheets in my binder. When I write in pen or pencil the columnar pad makes the written records look so very neat. Pencil erasing is such a breeze! Nice! Overall, I love the Norcom Columnar - 4 Column Pad. It is an excellent record keeping pad, helps me to keep up with my weekly and monthly budgets as well as my tithes an offering, other transactions, and helps me stay in charge! I love it!
I received the Norcom brand columnar pad. This pad of paper has the accounting lines and or grids inside it. It has the classic green and light green columns to make it easy to keep track of your numbers. It measures like a normal size piece of paper at 8 and one half by 11 inches long. It is also green bonded paper which is thicker than normal which makes it easy to write and erase. Heavy weight paper is nice when you are writing a lot of numbers. I also like this is light and portable and you can easily take it places. Would be good for school or office. Classic style! There are 50 sheets in here and also has three hole punch in the sides. That is nice to clip into a binder as well. I like how the binding also opens all the way and it will almost lye open flat. So that is a nice touch too.
This is a nice, sturdy ledger for my small business. It is quality bound and I like that it has three holes for easy binder storage. Pages are perforated and rip out easily.
I got this to help keep a budget. It is small enough to carry around yet large enough to write and actually see what I wrote. it helps us watch our spending.
Trying to watch our every penny decided to use this four column book. Nice size pages, thick weight paper, plenty of space for entries, easy to erase and correct. So easy to keep track of all entries.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I got this, but it is very tiny, in terms of space to write, for my large handwriting. As you can see in the photos below, the lines and boxes are fairly small, and I had a hard time staying within the lines. I can't imagine using every line, without skipping any, and having it be legible by the time the sheet was filled up! This type of pad is great for those who write very tiny and tight. With that being said, I decided to do a Pen Bleed Test. The first four pens (Bic/Sharpie ultrafine permanent markers, generic rollerball and Pentel Flair) worked fine, with sharp clean letters. The Bic Crystal was great as well. The "regular" permanent markers (Sharpie/Bic) didn't fare well, and both bloated and smooshed. Lastly, the three highlighters did well, with no bleed per se, but you could see ghosting of the text. On the flip side (literally), every pen except the Bic Crystal had some bleed-through. There was no bleed from any of the highlighters. And on top of that, the permanent markers and the rollerball bled to the NEXT page as well. I think I'll stick with my Excel Spreadsheets and use this as scratch paper...
