Teachers take note - this flooring is working beautifully for my first graders. I placed it in front of the smart board. Each child has his/her own color block to sit on during learning sessions. It is soft and warm too. I'm hoping it is very washable as the yellow squares will probably soil quickly.
I put these in my daughter's play area. We have a Summer Infant Secure Surround play yard that I use in a rectangular configuration. I had to cut some of the foam mats in order to get it to fit inside the play yard. I just used kitchen scissors to cut it and then used tape on the underside to keep all the pieces together. It works great and keeps my daughter so much warmer than being on our wood floors.
I have sensitive feet, my washer/dryer, sleeping cat, is in my attached garage. The garage also has a high usage door into the patio. It was a little painful stepping onto that hard concrete floor with my sensitive feet so i purchased these foam squares to ease the pain. I got 3 packs and set about putting them on the floor. I would recommend setting up the squares before removing the side cutouts. it will make things a little easier. I use one square on the step down to the garage and used an extra cut out to make it perfectly square and had to trim a bit off at the end to make it fit perfectly. It is easily trimmed with a plain scissor with ease. Anyway, after several days of usage i can say i am very happy and satisfied with my purchase and now can walk into the garage with little to no pain. I cannot post any photos now but if possible [walmart allows] i will post photos later.
Needed an economical padded surface to walk on, on hard surfaces so ordered a dozen tiles. These pads are as useful as I had hoped they'd be as they stay hooked together and don't slide around on the floor when being walked on. They also clean off quickly with a dustbuster and can be easily rearranged where needed.
believe it or not my husband is an over the road truck driver and the floor in the cab and sleeper area are not insulated very well so we put these down and they help that problem as well as noise reduction also makes for a nicer feel on the feet. Easy to cut and install .. problem solved
You definitely needs 2 packs to make a decent size. Easy to pick up and store. Great to use when my grandson is over.
I bought these for decoration and safety reasons in my grandkids room. They were inexpensive, they look great, good quality and easy to install. I recommend them for all those reasons .
First, they are not 24" by 24". Closer to 22.5" by 22.5". The border pieces with the straight edge on one side are 24" by 22.5". I was doing a large area---18'X19'--So I had to reorder additional stock. Secondly, when they say 'Reversible', they mean the whole floor can be gray or the whole floor can be black. You cannot have black with some gray inserted--It does not work. Whether gray or black, there is a great variation in the color shade from one piece to the next. Very easy to install.
I read and re-read the description and thought I knew what I would be getting. I am disappointed in the dimensions and thickness of the product. Basically it arrived as 4 squares that were so thin I thought the order was wrong. I have hardwood floors and this is not enough padding for my 9m/o grand daughter. also since the squares are so large they offer little option in a smaller area. I would not get this again.
These are described as interlocking with a picture showing all 4 sides as interlocking (previously owned 4-sided interlocking mats and wanted to replace them). However, only two sides are interlocking and the other two sides are straight edges. This means you can only make one, four square mat. I needed 6, four squares to interlock. Disappointed.
