Never had a trimmer before, so can't compare, but it does all I need or expected, at an economical price.
Most trimmers I have tried have been marginally effective and "dollar store cheap." Norelco electric razors have become "cheaper" quality recently, so I was reluctant to buy this product. However, I was very happy when I started actually using it. It is very easy to use, easy to clean, and comes with useful attachments and a protective cap. It is sturdy in the hand and trims very well. It reminds me of the quality Norelco had in its razors 18-20 years ago; very refreshing they did not go "cheap" on this product. Only wish is they included a pouch for travel. Put this quality in the rest of your razor line!
So far this product is working fine. It doesn't seem to knick and isn't too difficult to work with in awkward areas (ears, nostrils). Clipping area is smooth feeling when applying it on skin. A little skiddish to use the eyebrown feature. I would suggest a video to demonstrate more precisely how to use it on the eyebrows and tips on how to get the best results.
This is really effective for trimming nose hair...but not quite as effective at trimming my ear hair. I use an earlier model that works quite well on my ears and this new model for my nose. I trim my eye brows with a special scissors, so do not use this trimmer at all for that application. All in all...a good purchase and I'm satisfied with it.
Does the job at a very cheap price. The only thing I wish more is that it can cut the hair all the way to skin level easily. It can but you have to make a good angle and several pass.
Certainly easy to use. And easy to clean. The only issue is that the battery does not always work. A new battery used one time may not work the next time about a week later. I am very cautious to make sure it does not accidentally get turned on while in the drawer.When it works, it does the job well. And it is very safe and painless. Perhaps its just the one I have.
This small product does wonders in keeping nose and ear hair under control. One “AA” battery sets this unit into motion. It does a fine job of eliminating hair as you move the device in and around your nostrils and ears. The device can be rinsed under hot water to keep it clean. It out-performs another popular brand.
Scissors are good and sharp, strongly suggest that scissor should be blunt tipped. no reason for sharp tip, potential danger of poking sensitive areas of nose and ears. clippers good and sharp, bit difficult to use. should include flat nail file. file combined with clipper is unhandy and difficult to use. plenty of room on opposing side of case for flat nail file. hair trimming device is best yet, safe and capable of close work.
At 63 years of age, I find hair growing where it didn't before. I've tried other trimmers that just didn't work that great. So I have been continualy searching for a better solution. I saw this trimmer, or similar, on TV and went to the Philips / Norelco website since I use their products daily and have been very happy with their performance. So far, I am very happy with the trimmer and recommend it to others.
Much easier to use than small scissors. Works as explained and attachments for eyebrows are great too. I didn't think I needed my brows trimmed but tried it an realized they did need a little work. For the price, I'd definitely recommend this product !
