Finally, someone built a battery-powered, portable fan that has some strength! This fan does a wonderful job. The high and low settings provide the perfect breeze level. After being disappointed by other battery-powered fans, I HIGHLY recommend this product.
According to the website the AC Adapter is included but my fans did not have them. I bought 3 of these one for scout camp for my son and one for myself. They use 8 right EIGHT D cell batteries. I used this fan on high all week at camp and it is still running after 5 to 6 hours a night this past week. GREAT product. Thanks. I might try a coleman fan with a light. not sure the foam blades will put out the air this one does. Now before I went to camp with this fan I bought a AC adapter and have it on my bedside table. It has been working for a couple of years.
I bought one and used it, then went online and bought two more. This is the best battery operated fan on the market and lives up to the name of O2 COOL. Can be used either electric or battery operated. I use it for electric outages. Everyone should have one of these handy.
I recently purchased this fan to take camping. At first I was a little skeptical cause there were some reviews that stated the fan was not very powerful. I do not agree with those reviews! I love the little fan, especially since the electicity went out due to storms in the area. I live in Louisiana so you can just imagine how muggy and hot it is during the month of July. It worked great! It kept me cool until the power came back on and it was super quiet. Definately worth it!
We bought this fan to move air around our festival booth/tent. It gets super hot when doing summer shows. Anyway, we used it with the batteries & it worked great! All day & still had power at the end of the day. We had it on high almost all day. We liked it so much, we are getting another one to place for our customers to enjoy while shopping. :)
Took 19 cub scouts and parents to summer camp in 96 degree early summer in Oklahoma. I've had these fans for awhile and recommended them to the parents for our hot, humid nights. I have two and they work great. They take the edge off and circulate the air well in tent camping. On high for four nights (W/batteries, not AC power) they did not lose any power. I've put 12 nights on one w/only minimal power lose. At 13.88, this Eagle Scout loves and recommends them highly.
I found this to be a good fan and it did the trick, but there is a design flaw that prevents the batteries from touching. This can be fixed by wedging a folded up piece of foil where there is space between batteries. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it - it kept me cool enough in my tent while I napped in the middle of the day (during June in Tennessee).
Doesn't put out much of a breeze, but, it is quiet.
had to do a little work to get batteries to line up. they were not making a good connections. need to improve the alignment of the batteries. when we got it working it was great.
we have purchased 2 of these fans in 1 week & neither would work with the batteries- we had to return both. Even tried to get some kind of help from the o2 cool website & could not even get them to respond. Beware if purchasing this product.
