I haven't experienced the odor problems that some of the other reviewers are talking about. The odor was nearly completely contained with these bags. The adapter ring that it comes with is great too because it lets you to use any bag with a Diaper Genie II. Super great value for the $.
for my money, you can't really beat these. they are a bit tougher to use in my diaper genie than the cartridges, but they keep the smell in and 300 bags for $5 is a no brainer.
They're just trash bags that are blue like the Diaper Genie refills. You have to use a flimsy cardboard ring to hold them in place. You might as well stick a hefty bag in the pail. I'd rather spend the extra buck and get the name brand cartridge that fits just right. And they don't have 300 bags, like another reviewer said; they hold up to 300 diapers. I will say though that I haven't noticed an increase in odor with these bags, but my daughter's diapers don't smell bad anyway.
This replacement bag does not do the job that the original Genie II bags do. May as well just throw the dirty diapers in a WalMart bag. Smells the same.
We immediately noticed the odor after trying these out. Further, the ad should state that it does not function the same as the Diaper Genie 2. Since you have a fully expanded bag, there is more air space to allow for odor movement. The ring is handy for any bag, as mentioned in previous reviews; its just that the ad does not present an accurate summary of the product. If cost is your only concern, then this is a 'get by' solution; you will not be satisfied with the degree of odor control, which is, for most people, the primary intent of this product. To reitierate, the ad is misleading, and the product is misnamed. When we did the search, there were 2 Odor Grabber products; this one, and a quantity 900 product that did not say '9 layer'. Interestingly, our product has both the 900 quantity and the '9 layer' claim.
Spend the extra dollar and get the real deal. These are individual bags. They don't sit in a diaper genie properly. The packaging itself is misleading. It is filled with individual bags. Walmart should provide my money back.
