Just like everyone else, I am so disappointed that they have changed this product. This was my favorite lotion. I loved everything about it--the smell, the feel, the shimmer. I loved the shimmer!! I used it every single day and I went through bottles of this lotion... I really hope that Olay brings it back soon. I am most definitely not buying the new replacement, as it is not the same thing.
I have read the reviews on this product and I have to say I am quite nervous now about how to proceed. I'm a huge fan of the Olay Total effects line (that's what I rated 4 stars because I had to put a rating in) and just started to look into the body lotions. I bought my first Olay body lotion this past weekend (I used to use Curel but they've changed their bottles too just making me unsure of what I am buying). Now I am trying to make a decision as to whether to return the ultra moisture body lotion in the new Olay bottle. I bought it in BULK and don't want to get stuck with it if I open it and don't like it as much as Curel. Help!!!
I have tried many different moisturizers and this is one of the most effective at soothing my dry skin. It smells pleasant and feels great on my skin. My only issue with this lotion is with the little bits of glitter it leaves on my skin, but it is not bad enough to discount how great this product is, so I continue to use it daily.
Ive been using the original quench with shea butter and vitamin E&B3 for like almost 7 years now. Have never though of switching product and have even turned others to now use Olay regularly. This new version isn't as good as the old one. I don't feel like i stay moisturized as long and doesn't have the good smell it used to have. I'd really like to have the original back before i run out of this last bottle i found!
I have to agree with the previous reviews. This new product isn't as good as the original Quench. It seems thinner and doesn't keep my skin as moisturized as before and I also miss the glitter that was in the Shea Butter lotion. Please bring it back.
I have been using Quench Ultra Moisture Body Lotion for a long time and dissapointed with the new version that has a different scent and lost the shimmer. I tried the new Quench Daily Lotion Plus Shimmer, but do not like the smell of the cocoa butter. Please bring back the old scent.
I was always worried about this and it looks like the day has come. I have been using this lotion for 6 years and always felt it was worth the price. Everything about it was perfect, to this day when I use it the smell reminds me of my trip to Italy. Now it has changed and not for the better. The smell is so muted now, its a watered down version of the original. And no more shimmer. To me its very similar to Vaseline intensive care, which maybe I should start using since it cheaper. Why change a good thing??
I went looking for the Olay Quench Ultra Moisture Lotion and was very disappointed that it no longer has the same scent. I smelled all of the Olay lotions available and am so disgusted! Needless to day I didn't buy it...nor do I plan to!
It's not the same lotion I have been using for the past few years. I love the old lotion with the shimmer. This new version smells different, and it seems thinner, doesn't seem to hydrate my skin as well, and lacks the nice shimmering touch. they do have a lotion with the shimmer, but it smells like cocoa butter. i miss my old lotion, and wish they would bring it back.
I have returned both the new ulter moisture and the daily lotion plus shimmer with cooca butter because I don't like the way they make my skin feel nor the smell. I use Olay products for almost all my beauty needs, and my lotion choice is one of the most important parts of this process. I have bought up all the old Ulter Moisture with Shea Butter and shimmer (MICA) that I could find and spared no cost (meaning I paid almost $3 more than I use to pay and drove out of my way to get this product). I feel that I have enough in reserve to get me through the winter, but I would love to see the old product return!!! Choices are great, maybe even have a new verses old product... Great marketing strategy!
