This literally is the best protein I have ever had. The taste, constancy and quality are bar none! You can't beat the price either.
Love this product!
I would recommend this product to anyone with allergies to soy or whey. It taste pretty good too!
This is one of the only protein powders I am able to use and it's wonderful. I have milk, soy, egg and rice allergies, which eliminates almost all other protein powders. The powder is delicious and I feel great taking it. It is very different in texture when combined with liquid and needs a little preprocessing if you want to use it in liquids. My favorite way to take it is to mix a scoop with 1/4 cup blanched almond flour and about 2 tablespoons of water. Just keep mixing after adding the water and it will reach its melt-down point in about 15 seconds (Yummy, fast snack or breakfast - I call it Chocolate almond mud). To add it to smoothies or coffee, it works best by adding lukewarm water to the protein powder about 1/2 tsp at a time until each bit of water is absorbed and you get a smooth chocolate syrup - then add it to your liquid drink. I use it to make a wonderful almond milk & protein coffee drink. I'd love to see them come out with a more neutral flavor for other smoothies.
I really like the taste of this shake. I did not expect to like it as much as I did. It does not taste like beef at all! Great chocolate flavor! Finally found a product I can take that does not have any of the allergens in it!
Love this Dark chocolate flavored beef protien. I didnt know what to expect but I loved it so much I ordered more!
Very excellent source of protein. The chocolate taste isn't as bad as it may seem.
It tastes mainly chocolaty with overpowering Stevia, unnaturally sweet to me, whereas hardly of beef taste. To improve its palatability I add equal amount of Brewer's Yeast Powder (Swanson) with /without liquid (I happen to have BYP handy)...It feels easy for my body to digest. Curiously it comes in a large container twice its size, leaving the container half empty. It's not only uneconomical but unsafe to pack nutrition food this way, in my opinion. Overall I like the product, considering it has "the highest " protein content "on the market", plus zero fat.
I have tried this chocolate protein now a few times, usually mixed with water/almond milk, perhaps with some additional cocoa, vanilla, etc. I find it very tasty and it's plenty sweet. If you're turned off by sweet protein powders, I wouldn't recommend it, otherwise, I think it's very good!
A couple things of note: The size of the container would lead one to believe there's a whole lot more in there than there actually is. It's like 3/4 empty. It is tough to mix, especially without a blender. The initial taste can be off-putting to be sure, the Stevia is very pronounced. However, it allows the shake to not taste and smell like you're drinking a sweetened hamburger. Near halfway through, I actually came to like the taste. Also decided to add in some peanut butter to the blender, and that went a long way towards improving the experience.. This was one of the only powders I could find which met all my requirements.
