This extender works great, as it delivers better quality of video although I haven't tried this with 4K. I only have HD over CAT 5/e. It does look like the same as what you have on your computer screen. I cannot wait to get a 4K TV and try this. I've received this item at a discounted price in return for your unbiased review.
I had high hopes for this extender, but unfortunately it only works with monitors. I successfully connected my laptop to a monitor. However, I was unable to connect to both my 1080P and 4K TVs. Both TV's could not find the signal. The Roku 4K was purchased ~2017. The Vizio 1080P was purchased ~2010. I suspect this is because the extender is only HDCP 1.2 compliant. I did not try other HDMI devices as I dont own them.
