My reverse lights went out on my truck so I bought these and mounted them near my hitch reveiver. The wiring that came with wasn't long enough (obviously) to run all the way back so I had to purchase am extra roll of wiring. I've done many projects like this one so install time was only an hour. For 18 bucks these lights are a great investment. When I flip the switch at night I can see up to 100 feet behind me. The light beam is kind of small but for reverse lights they do a heck of a job. These would suffice for other applications such as daytime running lights, fog lights and atv lights .

They aren't fog lights!

The Walmart web site says "Fog Light Kit" but when they arrived the box says "Driving Lights"! It refers to them as driving lights in several places and shows the driving light beam pattern on the box. No mention of "Fog" on the box anywhere. But, the Mfg's part number on the box matches the one on Walmart's web site, so I'm guessing they are incorrectly written up on Walmart's site. Also did you notice the pic is of clear lights and the highlights section says color amber and then in the detail description they say clear again? So technically my complaint is not so much that anything is wrong with the lights just that Walmart's site lists them incorrectly. I'm returning them as I need fog lights.

Same old junk after all these years!

I had a set of these on an '86 Chevy blazer waaaaay back in the day, and they were junk. Flimsy, water leaked in, the brackets rusted. I didn't know anything about anything then, I was just a dumb teenager. I got em cause they were cheap and put them on the brush guard cause they looked cool. Real "off-road". Imagine my surprise to see them still on the shelf after all his time! And they're still $12! Even though $12 is worth like a third of what it was in the early '90s. Why do these still exist? Who is possibly buying them when we have SO MANY better options now? You can get a set of LED fog lights that are way brighter and way cooler, for like $6 more. TL;DR: if you are buying these its probably because your trailer court doesn't have streetlights and you need to see to avoid running over the stray dogs and meth heads.

I had a family member repair my vehicle, and this is one of the items I wanted to add. Not this brand, specifically, but I just needed some extra lighting and he picked this up for me because it was cheap. The lights look good and they mounted up well, but after 3 days one of the halogen bulbs quit working. I hope this doesn't portend to how well I can expect the rest of the kit to hold up. I can't see anything wrong with the bulb, but it tests as open circuited. Aren't halogen bulbs supposed to last longer than that? On the upside, the kit was cheap. Maybe if you get this kit, just throw the bulb inserts away and replace them with something else before installing, as doing so would be more easily done indoors on a tabletop than after the lamps are installed on the car. Next I will try to find drop-in LED replacements for the bulbs.
