I love this super easy and convenient cooked bacon! I like to add chopped pieces in my cobb salad or add it to breakfast sandwiches or even burritos! Its super easy to slightly cook up. No bacon grease splatter anywhere! I enjoy this bacon, perfect flavor and perfect amount of saltiness!! Highly recommend
Oscar Mayer Naturally Hardwood Smoked Bacon is slow smoked and hand-trimmed from the finest cuts of pork. With all this great flavor, everything you make will be better. CURED WITH WATER, SALT, SUGAR, SODIUM PHOSPHATES, SODIUM ASCORBATE, SODIUM NITRITE.
I can't upload the video I took, so you get a screenshot. The point of this review is to show you the crappy packaging consumers have to deal with. Whereas there's a pretty picture of straight rippled bacon slices on the box, inside is a knarly ball of overlapped and folded slices covered with excess grease. This whole mess has to be removed, slices peeled off each other and placed back in the pouch. I can literally scrape off excess grease that wasn't drained after cooking. There is another brand of precooked bacon - Hormel- that has better quality control for less handling and aggravation. Done with Oscar Meyer.
Normally I love this bacon. But this time the WHOLE package was full of MOLD!!!! This was money down the drain!! The expiration date was January 2024. And yet it was full of mold. Shameful!!!!!
This was a substitute for my normal fully cooked bacon and I will NEVER buy this again. They didn't drain any grease from cooking to packaging. It is just sitting in all the cooked off grease and totally gross!!!
This used to reliably good quality but over the past year, the quality is either great or really bad. You can't preview what the bacon looks like. Sometimes it is so dried up and looks like the floor scraps. Random pieces that are not appealing at all. I wish quality mattered to these companies. Last package I bought was disgusting, straight to the trash.
Just awful. Looked funky and fatty when I pulled it out of the packaging. (Use by date was January 2024 so it wasn't out of date. ) The slices were stuck together and I had to pull it off in bits. Decided to microwave it anyway and I wish I hadn't. It smelled terrible. Stunk up my kitchen something awful. Into the trash went the entire package. Never again. Back to Hormel Black Label from S*ms Club.
The package had an expiration date of August 12, 2023. But when I opened the package I immediately saw green mold that penetrated each layer of bacon.
Went to make the bacon that I purchased on 9/18/22 and the expiration date on the box was 9/4/22.
