Best hot dog ever! Great flavor, super- healthy ingredients, entire family now will eat only this hot dog. Trusted the Oscar-Meyer brand so tried Selects for the first time after comparing ingredients with other Angus beef products and will never buy another brand.
These are my personal favorite Ive ate these since I was a Child and I just love them I cant eat beef hot dogs they are just was to greasy for me but I can eat these all day I know not a lot of people like this type but I buy them a few times a month my daughter likes them to they arent to much in her belly like the beef hotdogs
These Oscar mayer jumbo hot dogs are delicious! Easy to cook for a quick lunch at home. Will be buying again when they are on sale.
I saw the great reviews and the No Nitrates sent me right to the store ....Well I don't know if many of the reviewers ever had a real hot dog ( Nathans...Sabretts) but these are the same old greasy no taste Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs I have avoided for years.
We have been buying OM hot dogs all our lives and loved them! For the last year we have tried your new recipe off an on with the same disappointed result! They taste terrible! The first time we purchased the new recipe without knowing it was new, we thought they had spoiled! We just changed our brand and will not go back. Your decision to change the recipe was a poor one at best regardless of what your studies say! You like them, you eat them! Never again in the household!
I have always loved OM Wieners, especially the cheese dogs. I purchased them often, but no more. I think the uncured dogs have an off taste, not at all like the cured dogs of the recent past. I don't know why you felt you needed to mess with a good thing.
I understand trying to formulate a “healthier” recipe, but are people really trying to be health-conscious when eating a hot dog? When you want a dog, you want a dog. You don’t care about being healthy for that meal. That being said, these are horrible. The taste is bad, and the texture is worse. I suggest selling both kinds and let the customers decide what to buy. That’ll be your true market test. I’ve been a fan my whole life, and now I’ve begun the strenuous task of finding a new hot dog (Ball Park will never cut it).
I was super excited to try this product, my wife has been pushing for our family to head in a healthier direction. Bought 5 packs to use during our first backyard cookout with friends, huge mistake. These things are tough to eat and taste terrible, or rather don't taste at all. There is very little flavor. Even my wife couldn't choke them down to try to save face about eating healthier. I ended up cutting them into pieces and trying to hide them in a giant pot of Mac N' Cheese, all I ended up with was a bunch of plates with cheesy hot dog chunks on them. Unlike another review I saw on here, my dogs did eat these when the humans would not. Suspiciously, one of them did regurgitate all of them a little later, but that was probably more a case of over eating than what they were eating. Either way, we gave these a fair shot and will never try them again. I appreciate the effort here, but this experiment is one that should never have made it out of the testing phase, it's a shame too.
I've been eating OM hotdogs for decades. The recent changes to the recipe, and the increased thickness of the casing, made it impossible for me to eat them anymore. I used to eat at least one package of hot dogs a week (sometimes 2 or 3). I tried a couple of packs over 3 months, thinking they had some bad packages, but it's the new, horrible flavor. I'm now eating Berk's hot dogs, though they're not as good as the original recipe OM hot dogs. I won't eat any more OM products until the original recipe returns to the shelf. I don't want a refund, I want the original recipe hot dogs back. Remember how "New Coke" ended.
I've tried this product before and I've had no issues but when I cooked up 4 hotdogs for dinner they all were undercooked and had blue spot in them, my friend got food poisoning!
