About 4 years ago a family member gave us two of the Mole Chasers when they moved into a condo. We originally had a small yard and two Chasers rid the yard of moles within about a month. The batteries lasted all summer. A couple of years ago when we moved to a new house with a bigger yard we had moles everywhere so put out the same two chasers. They still worked fine (with new batteries) and seemed to rid the big yard of moles the first year. This year the moles are back because I didn't put new batteries in when the other batteries died. The two original Chasers are still alive and humming! I'm going to buy two or three more Chasers to cover the big new yard. I think the batteries last a long time. At least through a summer. When buried in the ground, we do not find the periodic humming objectionable. We leave about 3 inches of the top showing so the top is easy to screw off. We just put them in areas where we won't mow over them and break them. Directions say something about the humming not penetrating through cement so you may have to buy more to cover all areas between sidewalks and patios. We love these things!
My land has had the feel of walking on wet sponges with raised trails all over. I ve tried many mole eradicators But this one rally is working. The trails are collapsing in the rainy weather and the mole holes are diminishing ,
I had moles in my yard for years. Tried one of these in my front yard and haven't had a mole since. Put one in my back yard, sames result, no moles. Be sure you put it below the lawn mower blade height. I learned the hard way and had to replace one.
We have been using Mole Chasers in our yard for years to control the critters in our yard. It's done the job!
This Molecatcher turns out to do what it says it will do ...... since I encerted it in to differant places around my yard-- They Were Gone , so far I have not seen any more and to be honest with you I truly be leave there gone ! And to all of my friends that gave me things to try ... that did not work . I passed on to them the MOLECATCHER was for them to try also ! I am very pleased Thank You !
I had a problem with a vole or voles - not too many but enough to notice damage. It was in a small area of my backyard but the vegetation was being destroyed and everyday a new hole. Since I installed the molechaser, they're gone. I will keep it installed as a safeguard!
These work, but I find as soon as the batteries get weak, the mole problem is back, batteries for the Mole chaser is too expensive for me. I'm trying something new. As I stated above they do work, but it dI'd not solve my mole problem for long
I have only had these in the ground for about 1 week, so far they are doing well, I am seeing less mounds around the yard. The paper that came with says it will last 4 to 6 months on 1 set of 4 "D" size batteries, we will see.
Not impressed. Had a Sunbeam one years ago and worked great - until time to change batteries several months later - never worked again. Was nicely constructed so have no idea why never worked again. This one however is very cheap construction - you have to dig the hole cuz the cheap plastic tube could never be pushed into the ground. Also, they claim you can mow over it. Yea, if you keep your blade 6" off the ground. see the striations below the cap in the picture here? That is where ground level should be. As for working? After digging, positioning, etc. and NEW batteries (4-D) seemed to be working fine. Audible tone though, my previous one was just a thumper, this one uses sound waves I guess. Not real noticable if you are like 20ft away or have ambient background noise about. I checked on it a few times during the day and last thing at night. Seemed to be working fine. Next morning? nada - dead. Pulled out batteries and triple checked insertion and even put each on a tester. NO reason why this thing will no longer work. Returned immediately for refund. Walmart service desk employee even still remembered me from when I picked the item up. Great customer service for a horrible product. Did NOT want a solar one but ordered a couple from elsewhere to try. Such a shame a simple product like this cannot be made somewhat durable. Save your time and money.
These molechaser did not work at all. I read the review and I have the kinda dirt they were supposed to work in. There were alot of folks that said they didn't work but I thought I would give them a try. No success!
