Works great so far and it was easy to install
This Isolator is excellent for operating an alternator with an additional battery. In addition to charging it also keeps you aware of the levels of the charge changes via the LCD indicator it comes with when it is hooked up correctly.
Found the exact part and it arrived when they said it would
It shipped very fast. A 200 amp relay with a controller circuit for $59 is a steal. This was a replacement for a 600 amp house battery bank charging relay on a motorcoach. As it turned out the original (same brand) was still good - the problem was elsewhere. Unfortunately, I broke the housing on the original when I took it off. Even more unfortunately, I broke the new one when I bolted it in. The housing is a plastic-Bakelite material that doesn't tolerate over-tightening of the big transfer lugs. The housing one the new one shattered and the lugs fell out. My mistake - but be careful not to repeat my mistake. Amazingly, I was able to glue the whole thing back together (Gorilla Glue!! Good stuff) and it worked fine. I did order a spare in case the glue doesn't hold - just the relay without the control module - $49. Still a bargain. Even with the breakage and the replacement order, this solution was probably $200 less expensive than the only other alternatives I could find. Thank you Walmart!!
