Tasted like they were fresh out of the ocean! I was pleasantly surprised. Made some delicious oyster po boys !!! Will be getting more.
The oysters I received were huge. There were 8 %26 1/2 oysters in a 16 ounce pint of oysters. They were so large one oyster had to be cut in half in order to fit inside the container hence the 1/2 oyster. In my entire life I've never seen gulf coast oysters even half that size. If these were truly pacific coast extra small oysters then I sincerely doubt one large oyster would even fit inside a 16 ounce cup. Also, packed with my pint of 8 %26 1/2 oysters was a piece of shell. I've often gotten small pieces of shell in my oysters before but this piece was about .75"x1.75" about 10 times larger. I guess when you pack giant oysters giant pieces of shell are bound to get in. But if you like oysters as big as the palm of your hand these "extra small oysters" are sure to float your boat.
Gross! The oysters were bad! They were black and green and smells rotten. It was cold and sealed but bad oysters inside. Had to throw out and it didn't even look like it had more than 5-6 oysters in the package so even if it was good, probably still not worth it. There was another brand we use to get but don't see them anymore and tried these, what a horrible experience. The rotten smells is BAD and hard to forget. It was not expired either. Just bad.
Got home with my curbside pick up order, noticed the fresh oysters I bought were yesterday's date, but decided to try them anyways because that's what was for supper tonight. As I was getting ready to make oyster stew we noticed they smelled really strong %26 there was A LOT of slime %26 gook on them but proceeded to make it anyways. We couldn't even eat it because of the SMELL was SO STRONG %26 BAD!! We were so disappointed because it was going to be our first oyster stew of the winter!! Needless to say, when I make it I use over 1/2 a gallon of milk (which I also had just bought) so we can have leftovers for the next day. I'm VERY, VERY disappointed %26 NOT happy about this at all!! Oysters are EXPENSIVE!! And so is MILK!! I would like a FULL REFUND on both items please %26 thank you.
I bought two. When I got ready to make my oyster stew, I noticed that the top had puffed up on one. The dates on the top were both the same and within freshness date, but I was afraid to use the puffy one. I’ve had food poisoning from bad oysters before, and it is not fun!! I tried to initiate a return, but the site keeps telling me to try again.
When we looked for an expiration or use-by date on the container, none was found. I have never purchased fresh seafood without a date. We noticed liquid leaking inside the refrigerator, and it was from an opened container of oysters. We noticed when we ordered online that this was the last one available at the store.
These are not good. One oyster is almost the size of 12 gulf oysters. NEVER buy them. I want to take them back. You have to have a knife and fork to cut them up!
Don't Order Seafood (Oysters) Online. The person(s) selecting this item. Did not realize that cloudy water on oysters means they are going bad. When I am in the store around the meat isle, that the person filling the orders, just usually grab the first meat package they get to.
Item is spoiled and not fresh….milky appearance and will not consume item…Please refund
The pint of oysters I bought was only about half full!I it must have had a small leak. Juice was in the bag and made a terrible mess in my fridge! I was told to take it back to the store. That was their mistake not mine . I did a grocery drive up to avoid coming in contact with people because of a health condition. Do they think I'm going to drive 30 minutes, go into the store, and stand in line ? Gas alone would cost more than these oysters are worth.
