This thing is EVERYTHING! Our room is upstairs and we have always struggled with spotty Wi-Fi and constant lagging so watching a movie has always been a challenge. When we got this, setup took less than 5 minutes and the clarity is the BOMB! It stays connected to Wi-Fi without breaks in playback and the best thing is it's voice controlled. I can tell my Google home to start Netflix on the Panasonic player and this bad boy fires right up! If you have a tv that needs upgraded this is a great way to go if you don't have it in you to replace the tv. Worked for us.
This is fantastic 4K Blue ray DVD player. It's a big upgrade over my old blue ray DVD player that I had been using for a long time. This one loads up DVDs within seconds while my old DVD player would take a full minute to load the disc into memory. This DVD player has two HDMI ports. One for video/audio out and another for dedicated audio. This makes it convenient to split your signal if you want to route to a dedicated audio receiver. There is a Lan connector as well as wifi to connect to the internet. The 192-kHz/32-bit 4-DAC produces crystal clear audio. It really enhances the sound effects from the movies that I played through my Yamaha RX-V383 receiver. War scenes are thunderous and my son felt like the horses were literally marching through our basement. The setup for sound was plug and play. My receiver recognized the audio format coming from the DVD easily and did not require any special setup. The picture quality is amazing as you would expect from a 4K player. It even does a great job of upscaling regular blue ray discs. The DVD player itself is a sleek looking device that fits in well with the rest of my music setup. Overall a fantastic player that I would recommend heartily.
This has an amazingly clear true 4k picture make sure you have a good 4k tv to see this really shine. The details are so vibrant you can see everything. Perfectly plays 4k blurays and old dvd's. The voice control takes a bit of time to set up and use but works smoothly. Would recommend getting some 4k nature or space documentaries. The only con is the voice control if you have a thick accent or have trouble pronouncing words it has a hard time.
This Panasonic 4K blu-ray player has a really sleek design, and was very simple to set up and use right away. I popped in a 4K blu-ray and the picture looked fantastic! I was also able to stream 4K tv, and that too was crystal clear. Speaking of streaming the Panasonic is fast. For me there was almost no loading time, and it streamed seamlessly. I like that the remote is easy to use and the buttons are well marked. The voice control feature works well. The only downside is that the player does seem to get hot, and takes a while to cool down. Also, it was shipped to me in just product box, and did it look like my package took a beating. There was a hole in the package and it was wet from the rain. Luckily, everything was accounted for and worked perfectly! That being said, the protection of the box seemed to do its job. My family really enjoys watching more things in 4K thanks to this player! I will definitely recommend this product!
This machine packs a punch! Amazing picture and sound! If you are in the market for a 4K player this is the one for you. Bought 1917 in 4K along with a high speed HDMI cable compatible with 4K and the movie was so crisp, the darks dark and the color bright and vibrant. Wifi connected with no issue. Remote feel premium in your hand, no rattling or light cheap feeling. You have to option to even calibrate the player to your liking and you have so many options. This is the player I would keep buying over and over!
The Panasonic 4K Ultra HD player is an amazing find! It plays Cds, DVDs, and Blu-Rays! Its also a voice controlled Video On Demand device. The setup was a breeze, barely took me 10 minutes from unboxing to operating. Picture quality is amazing and it is superior to easy to access all the apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc). Definitely recommend this device as an alternative to roku and firestick!
If I could give it 10 Stars I would .I must say I absolutely love the image quality This is by far the best player on the market for movies. It accurately maps colors. The HDR Optimizer allows you to perfectly dial in spectral detail .I love it set up was a breeze and it provides me with everything I need on one device works with alexa and has Netflix and plays 4k its brilliant and I am so happy with this item it exceeded my expectations. It works well and easy to learn how to use and set up. Remote works well easy to learn and set up great product.
This is the most amazing player I have ever owned. The picture is insane. It's so crisp and clear. The sound could be a bit better but because the picture is so great it's not a huge deal. It is a big player so be ready for that. It's 2x the size of my cable box. It was super easy to set up for streaming. I did have to play around with the setting to make it to my liking. I really have no complaints and it is definitely worth the price.
I received the Panasonic 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision Playback, Hi-Res Sound, 4K VOD Streaming to use with my Samsung 60”. My tv is already a smart tv but I couldn't wait to try this out to see the difference in quality and sound playing movies. The Panasonic was easy to hook up using an HDMI cable (which was not included). The navigation to actually set up the Blu-ray player was easy as well following the on-screen prompts. This player connects to your WiFi which then turns it into a multimedia device where you can stream movies from Netflix, Amazon Prime or YouTube. I liked the layout on the screen and the ability to download new apps onto the player. The one thing I didn't like however was how I couldn't find some of the newer more commonly used apps like Hulu, Discovery+ etc. It seems it's only pre-loaded with a few apps to download without the capability of “searching” for new ones. I stream Hulu and Discovery+ through my Samsung Smart TV, I was really looking forward to testing out the quality difference between the two. As for the sound and picture; both are amazing in ultra HD and 4K. I also have a Sony Soundbar with subwoofer hooked up, so that in combination with the Panasonic was awesome sound quality. The other thing you can do with this player is watch movies in 3D and use a plug in USB. You can than play media that is downloaded. The remote is very responsive and looks very similar to a cable box remote. The player itself is lightweight, very well made and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It blends in flawlessly with my other audio/Tv devices. Overall, I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality of the Panasonic. I like having the option to turn a regular (non-smart tv) into one without using something like a Firestick. The only thing lacking is the ability to download more popular streaming apps (or maybe I just haven't figured out how to do it yet).
Reading the description of this 4K Blu-ray player might make you think that it has it all. You would be sorely mistaken. It works well as a DVD player. It upgrades DVDs to look pretty good on a 4K TV. I was very disappointed however, in its ability to upgrade Blu-ray disks to 4K. The picture looked very grainy despite the packaging claiming that it could upgrade Blu-ray to 4K. It does not. I did not have a 4K disc to try, but the 4K streaming picture from the Prime Video app was beautiful. Do not buy this in hopes to replace your current streaming device. The selection of apps is extremely limited. No Hulu, Disney+, etc. I hope that they include more apps in the future, because the current selection is pathetic. The smart voice control is almost completely useless. The commands are very limited and only work in a special subsetting within your current prefered voice app. It was also very difficult to set up. Another thing to note, there is no button on the remote to go to the Menu on a Blu-ray or DVD. I found this to be annoying. It made navigating features on DVDs cumbersome. The instructions that are included in the box are VERY basic. You will need to download the pdf file from the manufacturers website of the full instructions to find anything helpful, including programming the remote to your TV.
